Real quick, before we answer our first question, I want you to know where we’re headed.

Now… let’s answer our first question.

STEP 1 – What Actually Happened When I Prayed the Sinner’s Prayer?

So the first step on our journey is this…

What actually happened when I prayed the Sinner’s Prayer?

Maybe you’ve wondered… Did anything really happen?

Maybe YOU expected fireworks.

A dramatic feeling.

A powerful emotional experience.

Or maybe… nothing seemed different at all.

And now you’re wondering if YOU really meant it…

or if YOU simply said some words.

If that’s where YOU are today…

you’re asking an important question.

But here’s the good news:

God never asks us to measure our salvation by our feelings.

He asks us to trust His Word.

Let’s begin in the Gospel of John.

Jesus said these words to Nicodemus in John 3:3:

John 3:3 KJV – “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Think about that phrase for a moment… born again.

Jesus didn’t say, “Become a better person.”

He didn’t say,

“Try harder.”

He didn’t say,

“Become more religious.”

He said…

YOU must be born again.

A birth is not something YOU gradually earn.

It’s something God brings about.

Now notice what happens when someone genuinely places their faith in Christ.

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:17:

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Did you notice what Paul did NOT say?

He didn’t say…

“If anyone feels different…”

He didn’t say…

“If anyone has the perfect emotions…”

He simply says:

If anyone is in Christ…

They are a new creation.

Whether YOU feel it immediately… or not.

Because salvation is first a work that God performs…

before it’s ever something YOU experience emotionally.

In fact, Scripture says salvation is entirely God’s work.

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us:

Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV – “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Notice the order. Grace. Faith. Salvation.

Not… Good works. Better behavior. Religious performance.

Those things don’t produce salvation. They flow from salvation.

So what actually happened the moment YOU genuinely trusted Christ?

According to God’s Word…

YOUR sins were forgiven.

YOU were reconciled to God.

YOU were adopted into His family.

YOU received eternal life.

The Holy Spirit came to dwell within YOU.

And God declared You righteous – not because of what YOU had done…

but because of what Jesus had already accomplished on the cross.

Those are not future promises.

Those are present realities.

And here’s why this matters.

If YOU build your assurance on emotions… your confidence will rise and fall every day.

But if YOU build your assurance on God’s promises… your confidence rests on something that never changes.

Because God doesn’t say, “Trust your feelings.”

He says, Trust My Word.

YOU know what’s fascinating?

Three people can hear the exact same Gospel message…

and walk away asking completely different questions.

 

THE SEEKER usually asks,

“Is this finally the truth I’ve been looking for?”

They’re not pretending to have all the answers.

They’re just tired of chasing things that never satisfy.

One video becomes two.

Two becomes five.

And somewhere along the way…

Jesus stops becoming an interesting idea…

and starts becoming personal.

And honestly…

I love watching that happen.

 

Then there’s the RETURNING BELIEVER.

They already know the stories.

They remember Vacation Bible School.

Sunday school.

Maybe they even prayed the Sinner’s Prayer years ago.

But life happened.

Disappointment happened.

Compromise happened.

And now they’re quietly wondering…

“Did I ever really belong to Jesus?”

And honestly…

if that’s YOU…

I’m really glad YOU’RE here.

Because shame has a way of convincing people to stay away from God…

when His invitation has always been,

“Come home.”

And then…

there’s my favorite group.

 

The SILENT WATCHER.

YOU never comment.

YOU never post.

Most people don’t even know YOU’RE watching these videos.

But every week…

YOU’RE here.

Listening.

Thinking.

Measuring everything against Scripture.

And honestly…

I respect that.

Because faith shouldn’t be built on personalities.

It should be built on God’s Word.

So don’t believe something because I say it.

Open YOUR Bible.

Read it for yourself.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide YOU into truth.

Because that’s exactly what this channel is about.

Not creating followers of a ministry…

but faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

And maybe that’s the beautiful part about today’s question.

Whether YOU came to Christ yesterday…

thirty years ago…

or whether YOU’RE still searching…

God isn’t asking YOU to trust how strongly YOU feel.

He’s asking YOU to trust what He promised.

Because salvation has never rested on the strength of YOUR emotions.

It has always rested on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Because no matter which of those people YOU are today… the invitation of Jesus is still the same.

And honestly… once YOU understand what God did, the very next question almost asks itself.

If all of that really happened… why don’t I always feel different?

Let’s talk about that next.

STEP 2 – Why Don’t I Feel Different After Accepting Jesus?

So let’s move to our second step.

Why don’t I feel different after accepting Jesus?

This may be one of the biggest reasons Christians begin doubting their salvation.

Because somewhere along the way, many of us were given an expectation that isn’t found anywhere in Scripture.

We assumed that if God truly saved us…

we would instantly feel different.

That every temptation would disappear.

That every struggle would end.

That every doubt would vanish.

But that’s not what the Bible teaches.

Let’s look at what God’s Word actually says.

Turn with me to 2 Corinthians 5:17.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Now, at first glance, that verse can sound confusing.

Because YOU might be thinking,

“Ann… if all things became new, why do I still struggle with the same temptations? Why do I still feel like the same person?”

That’s an honest question.

And the answer begins by understanding what changed first.

The greatest change wasn’t outward.

It was inward.

God changed YOUR relationship with Him before He changed the patterns of YOUR life.

Think about a newborn baby.

The moment that child is born…

they are completely alive.

Completely human.

Completely part of the family.

But they don’t walk on day one.

They don’t talk on day one.

They don’t understand everything on day one.

Birth is the beginning of life…

not the completion of growth.

The same is true spiritually.

Jesus called it being born again for a reason.

Birth marks the beginning.

Not the finish line.

Now listen to what Paul says in Philippians 1:6.

Philippians 1:6 KJV – “Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in YOU will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Did YOU notice those words?

“Has begun.”

God didn’t say He finished everything in one day.

He said He began a good work in YOU.

That means spiritual growth is a process.

Not because salvation is incomplete…

but because discipleship takes time.

The moment YOU trusted Christ…

God declared YOU His child.

Now He begins the lifelong work of making YOU more like His Son.

That’s why the Christian life is often described as a walk.

A journey.

A race.

Not a single moment.

And that’s wonderful news.

Because if YOU woke up this morning still battling old habits…

still learning…

still growing…

that doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.

It may simply mean YOU’RE experiencing exactly what every disciple experiences.

Growth.

Now, that doesn’t give us permission to stay the same.

God loves us too much for that.

But it does remind us that our confidence isn’t based on becoming perfect overnight.

Our confidence is based on the One who promised to complete the work He started.

So if YOU don’t feel dramatically different today…

don’t immediately question whether God kept His promise.

Instead…

ask yourself a better question.

Am I trusting what God said… or am I measuring my salvation by my emotions?

Because God’s promises remain true…

even on the days when YOUR feelings don’t agree.

And honestly…

I think one of the greatest disappointments Christians quietly carry is this expectation that following Jesus should feel dramatic every single day.

Maybe YOU’RE the EXHAUSTED BELIEVER.

YOU love Jesus.

YOU really do.

But life has been heavy.

Bills.

Work.

Caring for aging parents.

Raising children.

Showing up when nobody notices.

And somewhere along the way, YOU started wondering…

“If God is changing me… why do I still feel so ordinary?”

And honestly…

maybe that’s because we’ve confused ordinary faithfulness with the absence of God’s presence.

The Bible never promises that every day will feel extraordinary.

But it does promise that God will never leave YOU.

 

Then there’s the ANXIOUS WATCHER.

Every difficult day becomes another reason to question everything.

“Maybe I wasn’t sincere enough.”

“Maybe I didn’t pray the right words.”

“Maybe God accepted everyone else… but not me.”

And honestly…

fear has a way of asking questions that God has already answered.

That’s why we keep returning to Scripture.

Not because we ignore our emotions…

but because we refuse to let them become our authority.

 

And then there’s the HUNGRY DISCIPLE.

This person isn’t looking for emotional highs.

They’re looking for truth.

They’ve realized that spiritual maturity isn’t built one powerful moment at a time.

It’s built one ordinary day of obedience at a time.

One chapter.

One prayer.

One act of faithfulness.

One surrendered “yes.”

And honestly…

those are the believers who often grow the deepest roots.

Not because their lives are easier…

but because they’ve learned to trust God’s promises more than their changing emotions.

Maybe that’s what following Jesus looks like more often than we realize.

Not a life filled with constant mountaintop experiences…

but a quiet, steady walk with the Lord.

And over time…

YOU look back and realize something beautiful.

The biggest changes didn’t happen overnight.

They happened one faithful day at a time.

Because spiritual growth isn’t measured by how intensely YOU feel…

it’s measured by the faithfulness of the God who is transforming YOU.

But that naturally leads to another question…

If salvation isn’t based on my feelings… what does it actually mean to be saved by grace through faith?

That’s exactly where we’re going next.

STEP 3 – What Does It Mean to Be Saved by Grace Through Faith?

So let’s take our third step together.

What does it mean to be saved by grace through faith?

Those are words Christians use all the time.

Grace.

Faith.

Saved.

But if we’re honest…

many believers couldn’t explain what those words actually mean.

So let’s let Scripture explain Scripture.

Turn with me to Ephesians 2:8–9.

Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV – “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Those two verses contain one of the clearest summaries of the Gospel in the entire Bible.

Let’s slow down and look at each phrase.

First…

‘For by grace…’

Grace is God’s undeserved favor.

It means God gives us what we could never earn.

Think about that for a moment.

If salvation depended on being good enough…

who would ever know when they had finally done enough?

How many good works would be enough?

How much kindness?

How much giving?

How much church attendance?

The Bible never tells us to keep a running score.

Instead, it tells us that salvation begins with God’s grace.

Not because we deserve it…

but because God loves us.

Next, Paul says,

‘…are you saved through faith…’

Faith isn’t simply believing that God exists.

The Bible says even the devils believe that—and tremble.

Biblical faith is placing your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation.

It’s choosing to rely on what He accomplished on the cross instead of relying on what YOU can accomplish.

Faith is an open hand that receives the gift God offers.

Then Paul removes every doubt.

‘…and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.’

Notice how many times Paul closes the door on human effort.

Not of yourselves.

It is the gift of God.

Not of works.

Why?

Because God never intended salvation to become something we could brag about.

The ground is level at the foot of the cross.

Every believer comes the same way.

By grace.

Through faith.

Because of Jesus.

Now think back to the question we’ve been asking throughout this episode.

What actually happened when I prayed the Sinner’s Prayer?

The prayer itself didn’t save YOU.

Jesus saves.

The prayer simply became the moment YOU expressed your faith in Him.

There’s nothing magical about certain words.

God isn’t waiting for the perfect sentence.

He’s looking at the heart that trusts His Son.

Romans 10:9 tells us:

Romans 10:9 KJV – “That if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shalt be saved.”

Did YOU notice the emphasis?

Believe.

Trust.

Confess.

The power has never been in the prayer.

The power has always been in the Savior.

And that’s wonderful news.

Because if salvation depended on saying everything perfectly…

none of us would have any confidence.

Our confidence rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Grace is what God gives.

Faith is how we receive it.

Jesus is the One who saves.

That’s the Gospel.

Simple.

Beautiful.

Complete.

And honestly…

this is where so many people get tangled up.

Because grace sounds simple until YOU try to receive it.

 

Maybe YOU’RE the QUESTIONER.

YOU hear the words, “saved by grace through faith,” and immediately YOUR mind starts organizing objections.

But what about obedience?
What about repentance?
What about works?
What about all the people who say they believe but don’t live differently?

And honestly… those are fair questions.

Because shallow Christianity has made a lot of people nervous about grace.

But biblical grace is not permission to stay asleep.

Biblical grace is the power that finally wakes YOU up.

 

Then there’s the RETURNING BELIEVER.

YOU came back to God carrying a whole suitcase of shame.

Things YOU did.

Years YOU lost.

Prayers YOU stopped praying.

And somewhere deep down, YOU still wonder if God is making YOU earn your way back.

But grace says…

“You don’t come back as a hired servant trying to prove your worth.

YOU come home as a child.”

And honestly… that changes everything.

Because faith doesn’t mean YOU finally became impressive enough for God to receive YOU.

Faith means YOU finally stopped trusting yourself…

and started trusting Jesus.

 

And then there’s the SKEPTICAL OBSERVER.

YOU’RE not against Jesus.

YOU’RE just suspicious of religious language.

And I understand that.

Because sometimes Christians use words like grace and faith so often…

we forget to explain them plainly.

So here it is:

Grace means God offers what YOU could never earn.

Faith means YOU receive what Jesus already finished.

That’s not religion.

That’s rescue.

And once YOU understand that…

salvation stops feeling like a ladder YOU have to climb…

and starts looking like a hand reaching down to pull YOU out.

That’s the beauty of the Gospel.

Not that we worked our way up to God…

but that Jesus came all the way down to us.

Because grace doesn’t make obedience unnecessary…

grace makes obedience possible.

But that naturally leads to another question…

If salvation is a gift of grace, what does it really mean to repent?

That’s exactly where we’re going next.

STORY OF AWAKENING

Can I tell YOU about someone?

Meet Jacob, a 34-year-old market analyst, who wears the same silver cross necklace under his crisp, white shirts—a remnant of a faith he once knew. Every day, he battles dragons of deadlines and the constant roar of the stock market. The sword he wields is his analytical prowess, cutting through data, but it cannot slay the growing sense of emptiness within him. At night, the glow of his multiple screens cannot illuminate the questions that haunt him—questions of purpose, of eternity, of peace.

Jacob lies awake, the silence of his apartment amplifying the disquiet in his soul. He’s successful by all accounts, but success has become a dragon breathing down his neck, threatening to consume his peace with its fiery breath. The cross around his neck feels heavier with each passing day, a symbol of a battle between who he is and who he feels called to be.

It’s a Wednesday, like any other, but as Jacob walks through the bustling city to his high-rise office, a street musician’s melody cuts through the noise of the crowd. The tune is familiar—a hymn from his childhood. In that moment, there’s a palpable shift. The clamor of the city fades into a backdrop as the song stirs something long dormant within him. It’s the whisper of something greater, a call to a higher battle, one for his very soul.

The musician’s fingers gracefully dance over the strings of an old, worn guitar, the wood weathered like the lines on the man’s face. The hymn, “Amazing Grace,” hovers in the air, and with it, a tranquility that Jacob hasn’t felt in years. The silver cross under his shirt suddenly feels cool against his skin, a weighty reminder of a path he once walked. As he pauses to listen, the notes seem to be speaking directly to him, reigniting the embers of a faith long neglected. The dragon he’s been fighting is within him, and the sword—it isn’t his job, his keen mind, or even the necklace he wears. It’s the rekindling of his faith, the recognition of his need for salvation, for the Christ who calls him back to life.

In that hymn, in the midst of the city’s chaos, Jacob realizes the solution isn’t in fighting harder, but in surrendering to the call that’s been chasing him down—the call to come home, to be renewed, to slay the true dragon with a mightier sword: the power of a revitalized faith. And in this, there lies a message for us all: that sometimes, the greatest battles are won through a whisper, calling us to lay down our weary arms and be led by a still, small voice into victory that’s already been won.

Maybe today’s Story of Awakening wasn’t actually for YOU.

Maybe…
it was for the person God quietly placed on YOUR heart.

The co-worker who looks successful…
but is exhausted.

The daughter drifting from God.

The husband carrying silent anxiety.

The friend pretending they’re fine.

 

Did someone come to mind?

Because if they did…

maybe this conversation wasn’t just meant to encourage YOU.

Maybe it was meant to reach them too.

STEP 4 – What Does It Really Mean to Repent?

So let’s take our fourth step together.

What does it really mean to repent?

For many people, that word brings up feelings of guilt…

fear…

or religion.

Some imagine a preacher shouting from a pulpit.

Others think repentance means cleaning up YOUR life before God will accept YOU.

But let’s set aside every assumption for a moment…

and let the Bible define the word.

Turn with me to Acts 3:19.

Acts 3:19 KJV – “Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

Notice that Peter doesn’t simply tell the people to feel sorry.

He calls them to repent and be converted.

Repentance is more than regret.

It’s a change of heart that leads to a change of direction.

Think about it this way.

Imagine YOU’RE driving down a road and discover you’re heading the wrong way.

Repentance isn’t merely admitting,

“I’m going the wrong direction.”

Repentance is turning around and heading toward the right destination.

It’s not just changing YOUR mind.

It’s changing the direction of YOUR life because YOUR heart has been changed by God.

Now listen to how Jesus began His public ministry in Matthew 4:17:

Matthew 4:17 KJV – “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Repentance wasn’t a side issue.

It was central to the message Jesus preached.

But here’s something important.

Repentance is not another work that earns salvation.

Repentance and faith are like two sides of the same coin.

When YOU genuinely turn toward Christ…

YOU are also turning away from trusting everything else.

Away from self.

Away from sin as YOUR master.

Away from the old way of living.

Toward Jesus as Lord and Savior.

That doesn’t mean YOU instantly become perfect.

We’ve already talked about that.

Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey.

But repentance does mean there is a new direction.

A new desire.

A new Master.

Listen to Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 7:10.

2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV – “For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death.”

Did YOU notice the difference?

There is a sorrow that simply feels bad because of the consequences.

And there is a godly sorrow that leads a person toward Christ.

One ends in regret.

The other ends in restoration.

That’s why repentance is actually good news.

God isn’t standing at the finish line saying,

“Come back when YOU’VE fixed everything.”

He’s inviting YOU to come exactly as YOU are…

and then allowing Him to begin transforming YOUR life from the inside out.

Repentance isn’t about proving YOUR worth.

It’s about surrendering to the One who is worthy.

That’s why repentance isn’t a one-time event reserved only for the day YOU came to Christ.

It’s the posture of every disciple.

As the Holy Spirit continues to reveal areas of OUR lives that need to change…

we continue turning toward Jesus.

Again…

and again…

and again.

Not to earn God’s love…

but because we’ve already received it.

So if YOU’VE been afraid that repentance means becoming perfect before God will accept YOU…

hear this clearly.

Repentance is not perfection.

Repentance is surrender.

It’s saying,

“Lord Jesus…

I no longer want my way.

I want Yours.”

And that’s exactly where the Christian life begins to flourish.

And honestly…

I think repentance is one of the most misunderstood words in the Christian life.

Not because the Bible makes it confusing…

but because we’ve attached so much fear to it.

 

Maybe YOU’RE the LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN WAKING UP.

YOU still believe.

YOU’VE just been drifting.

Life became busy.

Prayer became occasional.

The Bible stayed closed a little longer each week.

And one day…

YOU realized it wasn’t that YOU had stopped loving Jesus.

YOU had simply stopped walking closely with Him.

And honestly…

that realization isn’t meant to condemn YOU.

It’s meant to wake YOU up.

Because every loving Father calls His children back home.

 

Then there’s the PROPHECY BURNOUT VIEWER.

YOU’VE watched prediction after prediction.

Headline after headline.

Date after date.

Somewhere along the way…

fear became louder than hope.

And honestly…

repentance isn’t about obsessing over tomorrow’s headlines.

It’s about responding to God’s voice today.

Readiness has never been built by chasing breaking news.

It’s built one surrendered day at a time.

One prayer.

One act of obedience.

One faithful step after another.

 

And then there’s the RETURNING BELIEVER.

Maybe this is the first time in years YOU’VE opened a Bible.

Maybe YOU almost didn’t click this video.

Maybe shame spent a long time convincing YOU that YOU had gone too far.

And honestly…

if that’s YOU…

I hope YOU hear this.

Repentance is not God standing at the door with folded arms waiting to lecture YOU.

Repentance is God opening the door…

because He’s been waiting for YOU to come home.

That’s why Jesus told the story of the prodigal son.

The Father didn’t make his son earn another place in the family.

He ran to meet him.

That doesn’t minimize sin.

It magnifies grace.

Because grace always invites transformation.

Never condemnation.

Repentance isn’t about becoming someone God will finally love.

It’s about turning toward the God who has been calling YOU all along.

But that naturally leads to one final question…

How do I know if I’m really saved?

That’s exactly where we’re going next.

STEP 5 – How Do I know I’m Really Saved?

So let’s take our fifth and final step together.

How do I know I’m really saved?

For many believers…

this is the question that quietly follows them for years.

They’ve prayed.

They’ve believed.

They’ve even started following Jesus.

But every time they stumble…

every time they struggle…

every time they have a bad day…

the same question returns.

“Am I really saved?”

The beautiful thing is…

God doesn’t leave us guessing.

Let’s turn to 1 John 5:11–13.

1 John 5:11–13 KJV – “And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Did YOU hear John’s purpose?

He didn’t write,

“These things have I written unto YOU that YE might wonder…”

He didn’t write,

“That YE might hope…”

He wrote,

“…that you may know that you have eternal life.”

God desires assurance for His children.

Not because we’re confident in ourselves…

but because we’re confident in His promises.

Now let’s think back over everything we’ve learned today.

Salvation is by grace through faith.

Jesus finished the work on the cross.

Repentance is turning toward Christ.

Growth is a lifelong journey.

So what should YOU examine?

Not whether YOU have been perfect.

Not whether YOU’VE never struggled.

Not whether YOU always feel close to God.

The question is much simpler.

Who is YOUR trust in?

Listen to what Jesus said in John.

John 10:27–29 KJV – “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.”

What a wonderful promise.

Jesus doesn’t describe perfect sheep.

He describes sheep who belong to their Shepherd.

They hear His voice.

They follow Him.

Not flawlessly…

but faithfully.

There will be days when YOU stumble.

Days when YOU need to confess sin.

Days when YOU need to repent again.

That doesn’t mean God has abandoned YOU.

It means YOU’RE still growing.

Remember what we learned in Philippians.

The God who began the good work…

is the God who promises to finish it.

So don’t build YOUR assurance on yesterday’s emotions.

Don’t build it on today’s performance.

Build it on the unchanging character of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ.

When doubts come—and they will—go back to God’s promises.

Read them.

Pray them.

Stand on them.

Because feelings change.

Circumstances change.

But God’s Word never changes.

And here’s the beautiful truth.

If today YOU have placed YOUR trust in Jesus Christ alone…

if YOU are turning toward Him…

if YOUR confidence rests in His finished work…

then according to God’s Word…

YOU don’t have to live in constant uncertainty.

YOU can rest in the assurance of His promises.

Not because YOU are holding tightly to Him…

but because He is holding tightly to YOU.

And that…

is where the Christian life truly begins.

And honestly…

I think one of the enemy’s oldest lies sounds something like this…

“What if you’re the exception?”

 

Maybe YOU’RE the ANXIOUS WATCHER.

Every time YOU stumble…

YOU wonder if God has given up on YOU.

Every difficult season becomes another reason to question YOUR salvation.

And every time someone talks about eternity…

YOUR mind whispers,

“What if I was never really saved?”

And honestly…

that’s an exhausting way to live.

Because fear never lets YOU rest.

It just keeps moving the finish line.

But today…

God’s Word has been reminding us of something better.

Assurance isn’t built on how tightly YOU hold on to Jesus.

It’s built on how faithfully He holds on to YOU.

 

Then there’s the ISOLATED REMNANT BELIEVER.

Sometimes YOU feel like YOU’RE one of the few trying to live faithfully.

The world feels louder.

Truth feels harder to find.

And maybe YOU’VE wondered if anyone else is walking this same road.

And honestly…

YOU’RE not as alone as YOU think.

Every day, believers from around the world gather here.

Different ages.

Different stories.

Different countries.

One Savior.

One Gospel.

One hope.

That’s one of my favorite things about this community.

We may never meet this side of heaven…

but we’re walking the same path together.

 

And then there’s the ENCOURAGER.

Maybe today’s message wasn’t just for YOU.

Maybe while we’ve been talking…

someone’s name has been quietly sitting on YOUR heart.

A son.

A daughter.

A friend.

A co-worker.

Someone who’s carrying the very questions we’ve answered today.

And honestly…

that may not be a coincidence.

Sometimes God comforts us…

so we can comfort someone else.

Sometimes He settles our hearts…

so we can help settle theirs.

Maybe that’s why YOU clicked on this video today.

Not just so YOU could receive hope…

but so one day, YOU could confidently share it.

Because assurance doesn’t come from looking inward over and over again.

It comes from looking upward to the finished work of Jesus Christ and standing on the unchanging promises of God’s Word.

Today, we’ve walked from confusion… to confidence.

Not because we’ve discovered a new feeling…

but because we’ve rediscovered an eternal promise.

And that’s where a life of discipleship truly begins.

TODAY’S TOOLKIT – How to Explain the Gospel in 30 Seconds

Before we finish today’s lesson…

it’s time for Today’s Toolkit.

One of the quickest ways to strengthen YOUR own faith is to learn how to explain it to someone else.

So here’s a simple Gospel summary YOU can remember.

God created YOU.

Sin separated YOU.

Jesus came to rescue YOU.

When YOU place YOUR faith in Him, He forgives YOUR sin, gives YOU eternal life, and begins transforming YOU from the inside out.

That’s the Gospel.

Simple enough to remember.

Powerful enough to change a life.

Now let me leave YOU with three practical next steps. They’re also listed in today’s description so YOU don’t have to remember them all.

1 – Read John chapter 3 this week and underline everything Jesus says about being born again.

2 – Write today’s Gospel summary on a 3×5 card and read it aloud until it becomes part of YOUR heart.

3 – Share it with one person this week. Not because YOU have all the answers… but because someone else may be waiting to hear the hope YOU’VE found.

This is Guardians of Biblical Truth.

We don’t just study Scripture.

We live it.

One faithful step at a time.

Salvation is the beginning of your walk with Jesus – not the finish line. Every disciple starts with grace and grows through daily obedience.

As we come to the end of today’s conversation…

let’s remember where we began.

YOU asked one simple question:

“What actually happened when I prayed the Sinner’s Prayer?”

And Scripture answered it.

If YOU have placed your faith in Jesus Christ…

YOU have not simply turned over a new leaf.

YOU have been given a new life.

Salvation isn’t based on feelings.

It isn’t earned by good works.

It isn’t maintained by perfect performance.

It is God’s gift of grace…

received through faith in Jesus Christ.

So if today YOU’V been wondering…

“Did God really save me?”

don’t look first at your emotions.

Look at His promises.

Because His Word is more trustworthy than our feelings.

Now here’s one simple Step for this week.

Take five quiet minutes with the Lord.

Read John 3:16–18.

Read Ephesians 2:8–10.

Read 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Read them slowly.

Thank Jesus for every promise.

And instead of asking…

“What do I have to do to earn God’s love?”

begin asking…

“Lord, how do I walk with YOU today?”

Because salvation isn’t the finish line.

It’s the starting line.

One small step…

faithfully repeated…

becomes a lifetime of walking with Christ.
