Why Guardians of Biblical Truth? | The Beginning
Behind the Christian Media Company
Welcome to The Story Behind the Story – One “Yes” at a Time.
Every ministry has stories that never make it into the teaching. The conversations after the camera stops rolling. The unexpected detours. The prayers no one else heard. The moments when God quietly changed everything. That’s what this space is for.
It’s where I invite you behind the scenes – not to spotlight us, but to celebrate God’s faithfulness in building something neither Eric nor I could have built on our own.
So grab a cup of coffee.
Pull up a chair.
Today, I want to tell you the story behind Guardians of Biblical Truth.
The Beginning
Every ministry has an origin story.
Ours didn’t begin with a camera. Or a book. Or a YouTube channel. It began with a promise.
When I was ten years old, I sensed the Lord placing something on my heart that I couldn’t possibly understand. The assignment was simple to hear but impossible to comprehend. “One day, you will rewrite the Bible so people can understand it.”
At ten years old, I had no idea what that meant. Rewrite the Bible? How could that even be possible? So I did the only thing a child could do. I trusted Him.
Then… life happened. School. Marriage. Raising three wonderful sons. Building businesses. Writing books. Years turned into decades, and although I never forgot that promise, I had no idea how God intended to fulfill it.
Then, in 2007, everything changed. I experienced a medical crisis that I should not have survived. Lying there, I made another promise. “Lord, if You allow me to live long enough to finish raising my boys, I am ready to do Your assignment.” He answered both prayers. He preserved my life.
And when the time was right, He called me back to the promise He had made over fifty years earlier. In 2016, I finally surrendered complete. There was no turning back. I stepped into the assignment He had been preparing me for my entire life.
The Turning Point
If surrender was the beginning… moving to Idaho became the next chapter. In 2018, the Lord moved Eric and me from California to Idaho. And for the first time, I understood why.
Five years later, in 2023, God settled us into a second home in Idaho overlooking a beautiful body of water – the very picture He had quietly placed in my heart when I was ten years old. It felt as though He was saying, “You’re finally where I need you to be.”
During that season, while spending long hours at the feet of Jesus, another piece of the assignment became clear. I wasn’t changing God’s Word. I was changing its form. The Bible would be presented chronologically so people could experience Scripture as one unfolding story instead of sixty-six separate books.
That alone felt overwhelming.
Then came another surprise. Storytelling. The Lord impressed upon my heart that people would connect with Scripture through conversation. That’s where Ann and Irene were born. Two ordinary women asking the questions so many readers have asked for generations.
At first, I didn’t fully understand. I simply kept saying yes.
Then, in 2025, the Lord quietly said, “Move to your desk. It’s time to begin.” One page became another. One conversation became another. Before long, Irene and Ann weren’t simply characters. They had become companions, walking readers through God’s Word one story at a time.
The Trumpet series was born.
Then came The Vanishing.
Piece by piece, the assignment that had waited decades was finally taking shape.
What We Learned
When the books were finished, I thought the assignment had reached its conclusion.
Instead, it was only beginning. The Lord impressed upon my heart something I never expected. “Give it away.” I remember wondering… How? Books sitting on a shelf couldn’t reach the people He wanted to reach.
That’s when another piece of God’s plan suddenly came into focus. Eric. For years, I thought he was simply helping me. He handled the technology. The engineering. The cameras. The editing. The graphics. The uploads. Everything I couldn’t do. I wrote. He built.
Then one day we both realized something beautiful. This wasn’t my assignment. It was ours. God hadn’t simply given me a ministry. He had prepared a husband whose gifts perfectly complemented mine. I create the message. Eric builds the platform that carries it into the world.
When he realized he wasn’t just helping his wife but serving the Lord through his own calling, something changed in him too. Now we both know exactly why God brought us together all those years ago.
Where We Are Now
In February 2026, Guardians of Biblical Truth officially launched. Phase One was unlike anything we had imagined. One hundred and two videos. The Vanishing. The Trumpet I. The Trumpet II. Scripture, story, and careful preparation – all freely given because that was the assignment.
Now we’ve entered Phase Two. The cameras have turned around. Instead of simply telling Bible stories, I’m sitting across the desk from you. Teaching. Explaining. Walking through the Eight LANEs together. And this is only the beginning.
Looking back over more than fifty years, I can finally see what ten-year-old Lori Ann never could. God wasn’t in a hurry. He wasn’t simply preparing a ministry. He was preparing two people, a lifetime of experiences, a love for His Word, and the exact season when all of those pieces would come together.
Guardians of Biblical Truth didn’t begin in 2026. It began with a promise. And every video, every book, every conversation, and every lesson is simply another chapter in the story of God’s faithfulness.

One “Yes” at a Time.
Reflecting back, every step of this ministry reminds me that God rarely shows us the whole journey.
He simply asks us to trust Him with the next step.
That’s how this ministry has been built.
One “yes” at a time.
Until next time…
Thank you for letting Eric and me share this journey with you.
