Hey friend…

Have you ever wondered what the Revelation of Jesus Christ really means—and whether Jesus actually gave us a timeline for understanding His book?

Maybe you’ve opened Revelation before…

but if you’re honest…

the symbols, judgments, and conflicting opinions left you wondering where to begin.

If that’s why you clicked this video…

you’re in the right place.

Because today, we’re going back to Revelation chapter 1.

And by the end…

you’ll know whose book this is…

why He gave it…

and the roadmap Jesus Himself provided for reading it with confidence.

____________

Revelation of Jesus Christ | The Timeline Jesus Gave Us

Let’s open our Bibles together.

Today we’re going to discover…
that Revelation isn’t meant to confuse us…
it’s meant to reveal Jesus.

STEP 1 – What Is the Revelation of Jesus Christ?

STEP 2 – Why Did Jesus Give Us the Book of Revelation?

STEP 3 – What Does the Glorified Jesus Reveal About Himself?

STEP 4 – Revelation 1:19 – The Timeline Jesus Gave Us?

STEP 5 – Five “No Panic” Rules for Reading Revelation

First…

we’ll answer the most important question of all…

What is the Revelation of Jesus Christ?

Not the Revelation of the Antichrist…

or the end of the world…

but the Revelation…

of Jesus Himself.

Then we’ll ask…

Why did Jesus give us the Book of Revelation?

Was it written…

to frighten His people?

Or did He have another purpose…

one that brings blessing…

hope…

and confidence?

Next…

we’ll step into one of the most breathtaking scenes…

in all of Scripture.

We’ll meet…

the risen…

glorified…

King Jesus.

The One…

who is alive forevermore.

Then we’ll come…

to one extraordinary verse…

that quietly unlocks…

the structure…

of the entire book.

Revelation 1:19.

The timeline…

Jesus gave us.

Finally…

we’ll bring everything together…

with five simple principles…

that will help you open Revelation…

without panic…

without speculation…

and without fear.

Only…

with calm…

biblical clarity.

By the end of today’s journey…

you won’t simply know…

more about Revelation.

You’ll know…

whose book it is…

why Jesus gave it…

how He organized it…

and how to begin reading it…

with confidence…

one chapter…

at a time.

____________

Stay with me until the end…

because Today’s Toolkit isn’t another prophecy chart…

it’s a simple Revelation Reading Checklist…

that will help you remember today’s roadmap…

every time…

you open the Book of Revelation.

TODAY’S TOOLKIT / Revelation Reading Checklist

And if YOU’VE never trusted Jesus –

or you’re ready to come home to Him – we’ll pray together before YOU go.

____________

This is Guardians of Biblical Truth – your pathway to readiness for the return of Christ.

____________

Can I share something with you?

People sometimes ask me…

if I watch Christian movies…

or read every new prophecy book that comes out.

And honestly…

I don’t.

Not because I think they’re wrong…

but because I’ve made a commitment.

Before I listen…

to everyone else’s interpretation…

I want to hear…

what Jesus actually says.

So when God assigns me…

to study a book of the Bible…

I stay there.

I don’t allow myself…

to read other people’s conclusions…

until I’ve first wrestled…

with God’s Word myself.

That’s why this Revelation journey…

isn’t built on speculation…

popular theories…

or internet debates.

Together…

we’re going to let…

Jesus Christ…

introduce us…

to His own Revelation.

I’m Lori Ann Moeszinger, and this is Guardians of Biblical Truth, where we put Scripture first—no fear, no hype—and practical next steps you can live today.

So if you want to know what the Bible really says…

keep watching.

____________

Before we begin…

I want to share something that may help you understand this Revelation Lane.

Some of you have already walked with Irene and Ann through our Trumpet series…
where we study the Book of Revelation…
verse by verse…
chapter by chapter…
exploring the prophetic details…
and the different biblical views.

This journey is different.

Here…
we’re asking one question…
every time we open Revelation:

“What does this passage reveal about Jesus?”

Because before Revelation reveals…
the future…
it reveals…
the King.

And I never want us…
to become so fascinated…
with prophecy…
that we miss…
the Person…
who gave it.

So let’s discover Him…
together.

____________

Real quick…

before we open God’s Word…

let me show you where we are.

This is Module 1 of our REVELATION journey…

where we’re discovering…

the Revelation…

of Jesus Christ Himself.

Not through headlines…

or speculation…

but through His own Word.

First…

Jesus begins…

by introducing Himself.

The Revelation…

isn’t primarily…

about future events.

It’s first…

about the risen King…

who is speaking…

to His Church.

Then…

we’ll discover…

what Jesus says…

to the seven churches.

Not merely…

to churches long ago…

but to every believer…

who wants to walk faithfully today.

Next…

the curtain opens…

to heaven itself.

We’ll see…

the throne…

the worship…

the Lamb…

and the scroll…

that only Jesus…

is worthy to open.

Then…

history begins…

to unfold.

Jesus opens…

the first seals…

and we’ll discover…

that His timeline…

isn’t random.

It unfolds…

exactly…

as He revealed it.

Every episode…

builds on the one before it.

One Revelation.

One King.

One timeline.

One faithful step…

closer…

to understanding…

the book Jesus gave us.

Because the better we know…

the Author…

the more confidently…

we can understand…

His Revelation.

Now…

let’s open our Bibles together.

____________

STEP 1 – What Is the Revelation of Jesus Christ?

Can I ask you something?

When you hear the word…

Revelation…

what’s the very first thing that comes to mind?

Maybe…

the Antichrist.

The mark of the beast.

The Four Horsemen.

The Tribulation.

For a lot of Christians…

that’s where their minds go.

And honestly…

I understand why.

That’s how many of us were introduced to this book.

Almost like Revelation begins…

with fear.

But can I show you something?

Something so simple…

that once you see it…

I don’t think you’ll ever read Revelation the same way again.

Let’s open our Bibles together.

The very first sentence tells us exactly what this book is about.

Revelation 1:1 – “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John.”

Would you look at those first five words with me?

The Revelation… of Jesus Christ.

Not…

the Revelation of the Antichrist.

Not…

the Revelation of the end of the world.

Not…

the Revelation of judgment.

The Revelation…

of Jesus Christ.

Can I tell you what that means?

The word revelation simply means…

an unveiling.

Imagine someone standing in front of a beautiful painting…

covered by a curtain.

The painting was always there.

You just couldn’t see it clearly.

Then…

someone gently pulls back the curtain.

Nothing new was created.

Something hidden…

was simply revealed.

That’s what Revelation is.

Jesus isn’t hiding Himself.

He’s revealing Himself.

And I love that.

Because it reminds me that God isn’t trying to confuse His children.

He’s introducing them…

to His Son.

Maybe that’s the first thing we need to settle before we study prophecy.

This book wasn’t given…

to scare us.

It was given…

to show us Jesus more clearly.

Now listen to what John says next.

Revelation 1:2–3 – “Who bare record of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Did you notice that?

God attaches a blessing…

to reading this book.

Not avoiding it.

Not arguing about it.

Reading it.

Hearing it.

Living it.

Sometimes people tell me,

“I’ve always been afraid to read Revelation.”

Can I encourage you today?

Jesus never intended the last book of your Bible…

to become the one you skipped.

He gave it…

because He wanted His people…

to know Him.

More deeply.

More confidently.

More personally.

In fact…

Jesus said something years before Revelation was written that helps us understand the entire Bible.

John 5:39 – “Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.”

I love that verse.

Because Jesus tells us…

all Scripture ultimately points…

to Him.

Genesis whispers His promise.

The Gospels reveal His earthly ministry.

The Epistles explain His work.

And Revelation…

pulls back the curtain…

so we can see the risen…

glorified…

victorious King.

Can I give you one simple habit that will change how you read this book?

Every time you open Revelation…

before you ask,

“What does this symbol mean?”

ask a different question first.

“What does this teach me about Jesus?”

I think that one question…

will protect you from a lot of confusion.

Because symbols matter.

Prophecy matters.

Timelines matter.

We’ll study all of those together.

But they all serve something greater.

They reveal…

the King.

And that’s your first quick win today.

From this moment on…

don’t think of Revelation…

as the mysterious book at the end of your Bible.

Think of it…

as Jesus’ final introduction…

of Himself.

Because when we begin…

where God begins…

with Jesus…

everything else in Revelation…

starts making a whole lot more sense.

____________

Can I tell you what I’ve noticed?

I’ve noticed something over the years.

People rarely avoid Revelation…

because they don’t love Jesus.

Most avoid Revelation…

because somewhere along the way…

they became convinced…

it wasn’t written for them.

Maybe it felt…

too complicated.

Too symbolic.

Too controversial.

Or maybe…

someone convinced them…

they needed an expert…

just to understand the first chapter.

But I don’t think that’s what Jesus intended.

THE SEEKER

Maybe that’s you.

You’ve wanted to understand Revelation…

for a long time.

You’ve searched videos.

Bought books.

Started reading…

and stopped.

Not because you weren’t interested…

but because you quietly wondered…

“Can someone like me actually understand this book?”

Friend…

I’m so glad you’re here.

Because Jesus didn’t give Revelation…

only to Bible scholars.

He gave it…

to His servants.

Ordinary believers…

who simply want to know Him.

THE PROPHECY BURNOUT VIEWER

Maybe you’ve been around prophecy teaching…

for years.

You’ve watched predictions come…

and go.

You’ve seen dates set…

headlines chased…

and arguments multiply.

And honestly…

you’re exhausted.

You still believe Jesus is coming.

You just don’t want another sensational headline.

You want Scripture.

Not hype.

Not fear.

Just calm…

biblical clarity.

That’s exactly the journey we’re beginning together.

THE SILENT WATCHER

And maybe…

you’re the Silent Watcher.

You’ve been here for weeks.

Maybe months.

You’ve listened.

Taken notes.

Watched faithfully.

But you’ve never introduced yourself.

Never left a comment.

Never really believed…

this community was for you.

Can I encourage you?

You don’t have to have every answer…

before you belong here.

We’re simply opening God’s Word together…

one chapter…

one conversation…

one discovery…

at a time.

That’s why today’s lesson matters so much.

Because before we study timelines…

or symbols…

or judgments…

Jesus introduces…

Himself.

And once we understand…

that Revelation is first…

the unveiling of Jesus Christ…

fear begins giving way…

to confidence.

Confusion…

begins giving way…

to clarity.

And suddenly…

the last book of the Bible…

doesn’t feel distant anymore.

It feels like an invitation…

from the risen King…

to know Him better.

____________

Now that we know who Revelation is about…

the next question naturally follows.

Why would Jesus give this book…

to His Church in the first place?

Let’s discover the purpose behind Revelation…

and why God wanted every generation of believers…

to read it with hope.

____________

STEP 2 – Why Did Jesus Give Us the Book of Revelation?

Can I ask you something?

If Jesus wanted His people to avoid the Book of Revelation…

why would He give it to us?

And if He wanted us to be afraid…

why would He begin the book with a blessing?

I don’t know about you…

but those questions changed how I read Revelation.

Because honestly…

for years I heard people talk about Revelation as if it were the one book Christians should be nervous to open.

But when I finally slowed down…

and simply read what Jesus actually says…

I discovered something completely different.

Let’s read it together.

Revelation 1:3 – “Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Would you notice those three words with me?

Read.

Hear.

Keep.

Jesus doesn’t say,

“Blessed is the one who figures out every prophecy.”

He doesn’t say,

“Blessed is the one who wins every debate.”

He doesn’t even say,

“Blessed is the one who builds the perfect timeline.”

He says…

Read it.

Hear it.

Keep it.

That tells me something beautiful.

The purpose of Revelation isn’t merely information.

It’s transformation.

Jesus didn’t give this book simply to satisfy our curiosity about the future.

He gave it to shape how we live today.

Now listen to how the book opens.

Revelation 1:1 – “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass…”

Did you catch that phrase?

“…to shew unto his servants…”

Jesus intends to show something.

Not hide something.

The heart of Revelation isn’t concealment.

It’s revelation.

It’s the loving act of a Savior who prepares His people before difficult days come.

Think about someone you love.

If you knew they were approaching a difficult season…

wouldn’t you prepare them?

Wouldn’t you encourage them?

Wouldn’t you remind them that they won’t face it alone?

That’s exactly what Jesus is doing.

Revelation isn’t written from anger toward His Church.

It’s written from love for His Church.

He wants His people to know that history isn’t spinning out of control.

He is still on the throne.

He is still faithful.

He still keeps every promise He has made.

And He already knows the end from the beginning.

Then listen to how Jesus describes Himself.

Revelation 1:8 – “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

I love that this comes before the seals…

before the trumpets…

before the bowls…

before the judgments.

Before Jesus tells us what will happen…

He reminds us who He is.

Alpha.

Omega.

The Beginning.

The Ending.

The Almighty.

Friend…

that’s not accidental.

Jesus is anchoring our hearts before He unfolds the future.

Because if we know who’s holding history…

we don’t have to fear history.

And one more passage helps us understand His heart.

John 14:29 – “And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you might believe.”

I love that verse.

Jesus tells His disciples about future events…

not so they’ll panic…

but so that when those events unfold…

their faith will grow stronger.

The same principle is true in Revelation.

Prophecy isn’t meant to create fear.

It’s meant to strengthen faith.

It reminds us that our God isn’t reacting to history.

He’s directing it.

So here’s today’s second win.

The next time someone tells you Revelation is a frightening book…

remember how Jesus introduces it.

With a blessing.

With hope.

With an invitation to read.

Because the heart of Revelation isn’t,

“Be afraid.”

It’s,

“Trust Me.”

Trust the One who is the Alpha and the Omega.

Trust the One who loved His Church enough to tell her what was coming.

Trust the One who holds tomorrow…

because He already holds you.

And honestly…

I think that’s one of the most comforting discoveries in the entire book.

Revelation wasn’t given to fill God’s people with fear.

It was given to fill them with confidence…

because the Author of history…

is also the Shepherd of His people.

And when you know the Shepherd…

you can walk into the future…

with peace.

____________

Can I share something I’ve noticed?

Whenever people talk about the Book of Revelation…

they usually talk about what scares them.

The judgments.

The beasts.

The mark.

The unknown.

But rarely do I hear someone say,

“I can’t wait to know Jesus better through Revelation.”

And honestly…

I think that’s exactly what Jesus wants to change.

Let’s talk to a few friends who may be watching today.

THE ANXIOUS WATCHER

Maybe you’ve spent the last few years feeling overwhelmed.

Every headline seems urgent.

Every world event feels significant.

Every day someone says,

“This is it.”

Friend…

I understand.

But can I remind you of something?

Jesus didn’t give Revelation…

to increase your anxiety.

He gave it…

to increase your confidence.

When you know…

that Christ is still on the throne…

the headlines no longer become your source of peace.

He does.

THE QUESTIONER

Maybe you’re the kind of person who asks a lot of questions.

“How should I understand Revelation?”

“What if different teachers disagree?”

“How do I know what’s true?”

Those are good questions.

And I love that you’re asking them.

But before we answer every prophecy…

let’s answer one much more important question.

Why did Jesus give us this book?

Because once you understand His purpose…

many of the other questions begin finding their place.

THE RETURNING BELIEVER

Maybe you’ve recently returned to your faith.

You’re opening your Bible again.

You’re excited…

but also a little intimidated.

Can I encourage you?

Don’t save Revelation…

for “someday.”

Jesus didn’t write it…

for super-Christians.

He wrote it…

for His Church.

For ordinary believers…

who needed hope…

just as much then…

as we do today.

You don’t have to understand everything…

to receive the blessing He promised.

Just begin reading.

Do you notice what connects these three friends?

The Anxious Watcher…

The Questioner…

and The Returning Believer…

all begin with different concerns.

One fears the future.

One seeks understanding.

One simply wants to start over.

Yet Jesus welcomes every one of them…

with the very same invitation.

“Blessed is he that reads…”

That’s not a warning.

That’s a welcome.

And honestly…

I think that’s one of the most beautiful truths in the entire book.

Before Revelation tells us about tomorrow…

Jesus invites us…

to trust Him today.

____________

Now we know why Jesus gave us Revelation.

But before He reveals the future…

He reveals Himself.

Let’s step into one of the most breathtaking scenes in all of Scripture and discover what the glorified, risen Christ wants His Church to see first.

____________

STEP 3 – What Does the Glorified Jesus Reveal About Himself?

Can I ask you something?

When you picture Jesus…

what do you see?

Maybe you picture the baby in Bethlehem.

Or Jesus walking beside the Sea of Galilee.

Maybe you picture Him carrying the cross.

Those are beautiful pictures…

because they’re true.

But Revelation gives us another picture.

One many believers have never really stopped to consider.

Not Jesus in His earthly ministry…

but Jesus…

right now.

The risen…

glorified…

reigning King.

Can I show you something?

I think this changes the way we read the entire book.

Let’s read John’s words together.

Revelation 1:12–16 – “And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of Man… His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; And His feet like unto fine brass… and His voice as the sound of many waters… and His countenance was as the sun shines in His strength.”

Can you imagine that moment?

John knew Jesus.

He had walked with Him.

Shared meals with Him.

Leaned against Him at the Last Supper.

But now…

John sees Jesus…

in His glory.

Not weak.

Not suffering.

Not wearing a crown of thorns.

He’s wearing the majesty…

that has always belonged to Him.

His voice…

like many waters.

His face…

shining like the sun.

His eyes…

seeing everything.

Friend…

this isn’t meant to frighten us.

It’s meant to remind us…

who is speaking throughout this book.

The One revealing the future…

is the King who already reigns over it.

Then notice John’s response.

Revelation 1:17 – “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last.”

I love that.

John falls.

Jesus reaches.

John is overwhelmed.

Jesus comforts.

The first words John hears aren’t…

“Be afraid.”

They’re…

“Fear not.”

Isn’t that beautiful?

The same Jesus whose glory causes John to fall…

uses that same hand…

to lift him up.

That’s our Savior.

Holy…

and compassionate.

Majestic…

and personal.

Then Jesus continues.

Revelation 1:18 – “I am He that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Can I ask you something?

Who else could make that statement?

“I was dead…

and now I’m alive forevermore.”

Only Jesus.

And then He says something remarkable.

“I have the keys…”

Keys represent authority.

Control.

Ownership.

Jesus isn’t wondering how history will end.

He holds the keys.

Death doesn’t hold the keys.

Hell doesn’t hold the keys.

The enemy doesn’t hold the keys.

Jesus does.

And honestly…

I think that’s one of the most comforting truths in the entire Bible.

Before Jesus tells us anything about the future…

He reminds us…

who holds it.

One more passage comes to mind.

Paul writes in Colossians:

Colossians 1:17–18 – “And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church… that in all things He might have the preeminence.”

Everything holds together…

because of Christ.

History.

Creation.

The Church.

Your life.

My life.

Everything.

Friend…

that’s today’s third win.

Before you spend time studying prophetic events…

spend time looking at Jesus.

Because the clearer your view of Christ becomes…

the less frightening the future becomes.

John didn’t leave Patmos thinking,

“The future is terrifying.”

He left knowing…

“Jesus is greater than anything the future holds.”

And that’s exactly what Revelation wants to do for us.

It lifts our eyes…

above the headlines…

above the uncertainty…

above our fears…

and fixes them…

on the risen…

glorified…

victorious King.

Because once you’ve seen Jesus…

everything else in Revelation…

finds its proper place.

____________

Can I share something I’ve observed?

It’s amazing how quickly our perspective changes…

depending on what we’re looking at.

If we spend all day watching the headlines…

our fears usually grow.

If we spend all day listening to arguments…

our confusion often grows.

But when we spend time looking at Jesus…

something remarkable happens.

Our circumstances may not change overnight…

but our confidence begins to.

That’s exactly what happened to John.

Before Jesus revealed the future…

He revealed Himself.

And I think He still does that today.

THE EXHAUSTED BELIEVER

Maybe you’re simply tired.

Not tired of Jesus…

just tired.

Tired of carrying responsibilities.

Tired of difficult conversations.

Tired of wondering what tomorrow holds.

Friend…

before Jesus ever asked John to write…

He first reminded him who was standing beside him.

Maybe today…

that’s exactly what your heart needs.

Not another prediction.

A fresh glimpse…

of your Savior.

THE SKEPTICAL OBSERVER

Maybe you’ve watched so many opinions…

that you’ve become skeptical of all of them.

Everyone seems certain.

Everyone has a chart.

Everyone has another theory.

And somewhere along the way…

you quietly wondered,

“Can anyone really know what Revelation means?”

Can I encourage you?

We’re not beginning with theories.

We’re beginning with Jesus.

Before we ever compare interpretations…

we’re simply reading His Word…

and letting Him introduce Himself.

That’s a wonderful place to begin.

THE HUNGRY DISCIPLE

Maybe your prayer has been simple.

“Lord…

I don’t just want more information.

I want to know You.”

I love that prayer.

Because Revelation rewards that kind of heart.

Every chapter…

every vision…

every symbol…

ultimately points back…

to the risen King.

The more clearly you see Jesus…

the more confidently you’ll understand everything else that follows.

Do you notice what these three friends have in common?

One is weary.

One has questions.

One longs to grow.

Different journeys.

Different seasons.

Yet they all need the very same thing.

Not first…

another prophecy chart.

Not first…

another timeline.

They need…

a fresh vision…

of Jesus Christ.

And that’s exactly where Revelation begins.

Because when our eyes are filled with Christ…

our fears begin shrinking.

Our questions become anchored.

Our hope becomes steady.

The risen King still speaks.

He still walks among His churches.

He still holds the keys.

And He is still worthy…

of our complete trust.

____________

Now that we’ve seen who Jesus is…

He gives us something extraordinary.

A single verse that becomes the roadmap for the entire Book of Revelation.

Let’s discover why Revelation 1:19 is one of the most important verses in all of biblical prophecy.

____________

STORY OF AWAKENING

Can I tell YOU about someone?

In the lush landscape of our lives, scripture is not merely to be admired, but to be absorbed and applied, yielding a harvest of good fruit in our everyday existence.

Meet Marcus, a man with a planner always at hand, a life full of decisions, responsibilities, and the all-too-familiar challenge of aligning daily life with deeper values. Marcus found his compass in the pages of the Bible, his decisions and actions guided by the timeless truths nestled within. “But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves,” James 1:22 compels us. Marcus took this exhortation to heart, letting scripture leap from the page into his daily walk and talk.

Each morning, Marcus’s day began with a passage of scripture, which he would ponder, seeking to unearth the practical wisdom it held. To love one’s neighbor (Mark 12:31), for instance, transformed into tangible acts of kindness—a helping hand to a colleague, a warm meal for a neighbor, a listening ear to a friend. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,” Colossians 3:23 told him, and so his work became an offering, done with the excellence and integrity that befits service to the divine.

Faced with choices, Marcus turned to biblical principles as his guide. The wisdom of Proverbs shaped his financial decisions, the patience of John helped him navigate trials, and the courage of Esther emboldened him to stand for what’s right. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path,” Psalm 119:105 reminded him, and thus, his path was illuminated by the precepts and commands of God, steering him clear of the pitfalls of shortsightedness and the snares of impulsivity.

In moments of adversity, instead of being swayed by the tumultuous waves of circumstance, Marcus found his anchor in scriptures such as Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This assurance empowered him to meet challenges with a resilience and strength that had its roots in divine promise.

Knowing that life is lived among others, Marcus shared the insights he gleaned from the Bible with friends, family, and his community. By doing so, he not only applied the lessons to his own life but also sowed seeds of wisdom in the lives of others, multiplying the impact of the truths he cherished. “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another,” Proverbs 27:17 tells us. Marcus lived this, engaging in conversations that refined his understanding and application of scripture, while also challenging and encouraging his peers to do likewise.

Let us walk in Marcus’s footsteps, treating the Bible not as an exhibit to be viewed from afar, but as a field to be worked, that we might enjoy the fruits of a life lived in accordance with its precepts. For it is through such lived application that the Word of God truly transforms us and our world.

____________

Maybe today’s Story of Awakening…

wasn’t only for you.

Maybe…

Jesus quietly brought…

someone…

to your mind.

The friend…

who loves Jesus…

but avoids…

the Book of Revelation…

because they’ve always been told…

it’s confusing.

Or maybe…

it’s the believer…

who has spent years…

more afraid…

than hopeful…

every time…

someone mentions…

the end times.

Or maybe…

it’s someone…

who’s convinced…

Revelation…

is only for scholars…

pastors…

or prophecy experts.

Can I tell you something?

Sometimes…

Jesus awakens a heart…

not by revealing…

something brand new…

but by removing…

a fear…

that never belonged there…

in the first place.

Because today’s journey…

was never simply about…

learning…

a timeline.

It was about meeting…

the risen Christ…

who begins this book…

by saying…

“I have something…

I want to reveal…

to My people.”

That’s where awakening begins.

Not with fear.

Not with speculation.

But with Jesus.

Did someone come to mind?

If they did…

would you consider…

sharing today’s video…

with them?

Because you never know…

how God might use…

one conversation…

one invitation…

or one shared video…

to help someone discover…

that Revelation…

isn’t a book…

to fear…

it’s an invitation…

to know Jesus…

more deeply.

And perhaps…

your decision to share today…

becomes part of someone else’s…

Story of Awakening.

____________

STEP 4 – Revelation 1:19 – The Timeline Jesus Gave Us

Can I show you what may be…

the most overlooked verse…

in the entire Book of Revelation?

Honestly…

if someone asked me,

“Where should I begin if I want to understand Revelation?”

I’d probably take them…

right here.

Because before Jesus reveals…

the seals…

the trumpets…

the bowls…

or anything else…

He does something incredibly gracious.

He gives us…

the roadmap.

Let’s read it together.

Revelation 1:19 – “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.”

Three simple phrases.

That’s it.

Three phrases…

that become the framework…

for the entire book.

Can we slow down…

and look at them together?

First…

Jesus says,

“Write the things which thou hast seen.”

John has just seen…

the glorified Christ.

Everything we’ve been talking about in Revelation chapter one…

belongs here.

The risen King.

His majesty.

His voice.

His authority.

Jesus begins…

by revealing Himself.

Then He says,

“And the things which are.”

Now the focus shifts.

In the next two chapters…

Jesus speaks directly…

to the seven churches.

Real churches.

Real believers.

Real encouragement.

Real correction.

Before revealing future events…

Jesus first speaks…

to His people.

I love that.

Because it reminds us…

that His heart is always…

His Church.

And then comes…

the third phrase.

“And the things which shall be hereafter.”

Beginning in Revelation chapter four…

the prophetic vision unfolds.

The seals.

The trumpets.

The bowls.

The final victory of Christ.

The new heaven…

and the new earth.

Jesus has just given us…

the broad outline…

of the entire book.

Can I tell you why I think that’s so encouraging?

Because Jesus didn’t expect His people…

to wander through Revelation…

without direction.

He gave us…

the map…

before He took us…

on the journey.

Imagine visiting…

a national park.

Before you start hiking…

you stop…

at the large trail map.

You look around.

You see where you are.

You see where the trail leads.

You don’t know…

every twist…

or every hill…

but you know…

you’re on the right path.

That’s what Revelation 1:19 does.

It doesn’t answer…

every question.

But it gives us…

the confidence…

to begin the journey.

And isn’t that exactly…

what a good Shepherd does?

He doesn’t leave His sheep…

to find the path alone.

He leads them.

One step…

at a time.

The more I study Revelation…

the more I’m convinced…

Jesus isn’t trying…

to make His book difficult.

He’s inviting us…

to read it…

the way He arranged it.

One beautiful discovery…

after another.

That’s why I love beginning…

right here.

Not with speculation.

Not with arguments.

Not with complicated charts.

With Jesus’ own outline.

Friend…

that’s today’s fourth win.

You don’t have to memorize…

every prophecy…

before opening Revelation.

Just remember…

one verse.

Revelation 1:19.

The things…

John had seen.

The things…

that were.

And the things…

that would come.

Three simple movements.

Given by Jesus Himself.

And once you see that…

something remarkable happens.

The Book of Revelation…

begins feeling less like…

a maze…

and more like…

a journey.

A journey led…

by the One…

who wrote it.

And I can’t think…

of a better Guide…

to walk with…

____________

Can I share something I’ve noticed?

Most of us feel confident walking into a place we’ve never been…

if someone hands us a good map.

Think about visiting a national park.

Or walking through a museum.

Or exploring a new city.

The map doesn’t answer every question.

It doesn’t show every tree…

every hallway…

or every turn.

But it gives you confidence.

You know where you are.

You know where you’re going.

And suddenly…

what once felt overwhelming…

becomes an adventure.

I think that’s exactly what Jesus does in Revelation 1:19.

Before asking us to walk through His Revelation…

He lovingly hands us the map.

THE DEBATE WATCHER

Maybe you’ve spent years listening to debates.

One teacher says this.

Another says that.

One timeline looks completely different from the next.

And somewhere along the way…

you began wondering,

“Can anyone really know how to read Revelation?”

Friend…

before listening to every opinion…

listen to Jesus.

The first outline you need…

is the one He gives.

Everything else should be measured…

against His Word.

THE ISOLATED REMNANT BELIEVER

Maybe you feel like you’re studying alone.

No Bible study.

No prophecy group.

No one nearby who shares your excitement for God’s Word.

Can I encourage you?

You’re not walking this road by yourself.

Every time you open Scripture…

you’re walking with believers around the world…

who are seeking the same Savior…

through the same Word.

And now…

we’re walking through Revelation together…

one chapter at a time.

THE LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN WAKING UP

Maybe this season has awakened something in you.

You’ve realized…

you don’t want casual Christianity anymore.

You want to know God’s Word.

Really know it.

The beautiful thing is…

Jesus doesn’t say,

“Figure everything out before you begin.”

He simply says,

“Come with Me.”

And then…

He hands you the roadmap.

Do you notice what these three friends have in common?

One is tired of arguments.

One feels alone.

One is starting over.

Different stories…

same invitation.

Jesus doesn’t begin Revelation…

by overwhelming His people.

He begins…

by orienting them.

He gives them a foundation.

A direction.

A way forward.

And I think that’s exactly what good discipleship does.

It doesn’t remove every mystery.

It gives people confidence…

to keep walking with Christ…

one faithful step at a time.

____________

Now that Jesus has given us the roadmap…

the question becomes…

“How should we travel it?”

Let’s finish today’s journey with five simple, biblical reading principles that will help you approach Revelation with confidence, humility, and peace instead of fear or speculation.

____________

STEP 5 – Five “No Panic” Rules for Reading Revelation

Before we finish today…

can I leave you with five simple habits?

I don’t really think of them as rules.

I think of them as gentle reminders.

Little guardrails…

that have helped me keep my eyes on Jesus…

every time I open Revelation.

If you remember these five things…

I honestly believe you’ll read this book with much more confidence…

and a lot less fear.

Rule Number One…

Always begin with Jesus.

We’ve talked about this throughout today’s episode.

Revelation opens…

not with the beast…

but with Christ.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed…

lift your eyes back to Him.

Remember His voice.

His authority.

His promises.

Because if you lose sight of Jesus…

everything else begins to feel bigger than it really is.

Rule Number Two…

Let Scripture explain Scripture.

One of the greatest gifts God has given us…

is the rest of the Bible.

Many of Revelation’s symbols…

aren’t new.

They’ve already appeared…

in Daniel…

Ezekiel…

Zechariah…

Isaiah…

and throughout the Old Testament.

Instead of immediately asking,

“What does someone else think this means?”

begin by asking,

“Where else has God talked about this?”

The Bible is remarkably consistent.

It often provides its own interpretation.

Rule Number Three…

Read Revelation in the order Jesus gave it.

Remember Revelation 1:19.

Jesus provided the roadmap.

Don’t rush ahead.

Don’t skip around.

Walk through the journey…

the way He arranged it.

One chapter…

building naturally upon the next.

There’s a wonderful peace…

that comes from letting Scripture unfold…

at God’s pace.

Rule Number Four…

Hold your conclusions with humility…

and your confidence in Christ with certainty.

There are faithful believers…

who disagree on some prophetic details.

We should study carefully.

We should search the Scriptures.

But we should also remain humble.

Our confidence isn’t found…

in having every chart perfected.

Our confidence is found…

in the King who holds history.

Rule Number Five…

Read Revelation to know Jesus better…

not simply to know the future better.

Can I say that one more time?

Read Revelation…

to know Jesus better.

Because that’s exactly how the book begins.

The Revelation…

of Jesus Christ.

When that remains your goal…

everything else finds its proper place.

The timelines matter.

The symbols matter.

The prophecies matter.

But they all serve a greater purpose.

They reveal…

the glory…

the faithfulness…

the justice…

and the victory…

of Jesus Christ.

One verse beautifully captures the posture I hope we’ll carry into every future episode.

Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

I love that picture.

God doesn’t usually shine a floodlight…

twenty years into the future.

He gives us a lamp.

Enough light…

for the next faithful step.

That’s exactly what Revelation does.

It reminds us…

who is walking with us…

where history is going…

and why we never have to fear the darkness.

Because the Light of the World…

has already overcome it.

So here’s today’s fifth win.

The next time you open Revelation…

don’t begin with anxiety.

Don’t begin with speculation.

Begin with prayer.

Open your Bible.

Ask the Holy Spirit…

to help you see Jesus more clearly.

Then read slowly.

Listen carefully.

Trust completely.

Because Revelation isn’t an invitation…

to panic.

It’s an invitation…

to walk with confidence…

behind the risen King…

who already knows the end…

from the beginning.

And friend…

there is no safer place…

to be.

____________

Can I leave you with one final observation before we finish today’s lesson?

I’ve noticed something beautiful over the years.

The believers who seem to grow the most in God’s Word…

aren’t usually the ones who know the most.

They’re the ones who keep opening their Bible…

day after day…

with humble hearts…

ready to listen.

That’s what these five reading principles are really about.

Not becoming an expert overnight.

Simply learning…

to walk with Jesus…

one chapter at a time.

THE ENCOURAGER

Maybe you’re someone who naturally encourages others.

You’re always pointing people back to Scripture.

Can I encourage you today?

One of the greatest gifts you can give someone…

isn’t all the answers.

It’s the confidence…

to open God’s Word for themselves.

Sometimes the most powerful words we can say are,

“Let’s read what Jesus says together.”

That’s exactly the kind of community we’re building here.

THE HUNGRY DISCIPLE

Maybe your heart has been saying,

“Lord, I don’t want to just study more…

I want to know You more.”

I love that.

Because Revelation isn’t asking you…

to master every prophecy this week.

It’s inviting you…

to keep walking.

One chapter.

One prayer.

One discovery.

One faithful step.

That’s how disciples grow.

THE PROPHECY BURNOUT VIEWER

Maybe you’ve reached the point where you’re tired of sensational predictions.

Tired of constant speculation.

Tired of feeling like every headline demands another new chart.

Friend…

perhaps today has reminded you…

that Revelation doesn’t begin with headlines.

It begins with Jesus.

And maybe that’s exactly where your heart needed to return.

Because peace doesn’t come…

from predicting tomorrow.

It comes…

from knowing the One…

who already holds tomorrow.

Do you notice what all three of these friends share?

The Encourager…

The Hungry Disciple…

and the Prophecy Burnout Viewer…

all discover the same beautiful truth.

Confidence doesn’t come from having every answer.

Confidence comes…

from knowing the Author.

That’s why today’s five reading principles matter.

They aren’t complicated.

They’re simply gentle reminders…

to keep your eyes on Christ…

to let Scripture interpret Scripture…

to walk through Revelation patiently…

and to trust the Shepherd…

who is leading you every step of the way.

Because the goal has never been…

to finish Revelation.

The goal has always been…

to know Jesus more deeply…

through His Revelation.

And I think…

that’s a journey worth taking together.

____________

We’ve taken the first step together…

meeting the Author and receiving His roadmap.

Now let’s slow down for Today’s Toolkit, where I’ll give you one simple Revelation Reading Checklist you can begin using the very next time you open this incredible book.

____________

TODAY’S TOOLKIT – Revelation Reading Checklist

Before we finish today…

let’s slow everything down.

No charts.

No debates.

No trying to answer…

every prophecy…

all at once.

Just you…

your Bible…

and Jesus.

If your Bible is nearby…

would you open it…

to Revelation chapter 1?

Before you begin reading…

pause for just a moment.

Remember what we’ve discovered today.

This book…

isn’t about fear.

It isn’t about confusion.

It isn’t about trying to predict tomorrow’s headlines.

It’s the Revelation…

of Jesus Christ.

So before you read…

pray something simple.

“Lord Jesus…

Thank You for giving us this book.

Open my eyes…

to see You more clearly.

Help me read Your Word…

with humility…

with wisdom…

and with confidence.

Teach me what You want me to know today.

And help me trust You…

with everything I don’t yet understand.

In Jesus’ name… Amen.”

Now…

read Revelation chapter 1 slowly.

Don’t rush.

Notice every description of Jesus.

Underline…

anything that reveals…

His character.

His authority.

His promises.

Then ask yourself one simple question.

“What did I learn about Jesus today?”

Write down…

just one sentence.

Not an entire page.

Just one.

Carry that thought with you today.

Return to it this evening.

Let it become…

the lens…

through which you read tomorrow’s chapter.

Friend…

understanding Revelation…

doesn’t begin…

by mastering prophecy.

It begins…

by knowing the King…

who revealed it.

One chapter.

One conversation.

One faithful step.

One day at a time.

Revelation was never given…

to frighten God’s people.

It was given…

to reveal Jesus Christ.

So every time you open this book…

don’t begin by asking,

“What am I supposed to fear?”

Begin by asking,

“Jesus… what are You revealing about Yourself?”

That one question…

will change…

the way you read Revelation…

for the rest of your life.

Before we move on…

I’d like to leave you with one thought.

Remember this…

Revelation wasn’t given to frighten God’s people. It was given to reveal Jesus Christ. Read every chapter looking for the King before looking for the timeline.

____________

Before we wrap…

If today’s message strengthened YOUR confidence in Christ…

comment “READY.”

I read those comments every week,

and I love seeing believers encourage one another.

And before YOU leave…

tell me one step YOU’RE going to take this week.

Maybe it’s opening your Bible tomorrow morning.

Maybe it’s talking with Jesus for the first time in a long time.

Maybe it’s sharing the Gospel with someone.

Or maybe it’s simply choosing obedience in one area of YOUR life.

Because here at Guardians of Biblical Truth…

we believe Scripture becomes transformation one step at a time.

____________

WRAP UP – From Prophecy to the Person

Friend…

today we didn’t try…

to answer every question…

about the Book of Revelation.

That wasn’t our goal.

Our goal…

was something much more important.

To meet…

the Author.

Today we’ve discovered…

that Revelation is first…

the Revelation…

of Jesus Christ.

We’ve seen…

why He gave us this book.

We’ve stood in awe…

of the glorified King.

We’ve received…

the roadmap He gave us…

in Revelation 1:19.

And we’ve learned…

how to open this book…

without fear…

without panic…

and with quiet confidence.

I hope that’s what you’re taking with you today.

Not simply more information.

But a different perspective.

Because when Jesus becomes…

the center of Revelation…

everything else begins…

to find its proper place.

Friend…

this journey has only begun.

There are still incredible discoveries ahead.

We’ll walk through them together…

one chapter…

one conversation…

one faithful step…

at a time.

And my prayer is that every time you open Revelation…

you’ll become just a little less intimidated…

and a little more captivated…

by the King…

who lovingly revealed Himself…

to His Church.

Now…

let me show you where our journey continues next.

____________

WHERE WE GO NEXT

Now let me show you…

where we’re headed together.

This wheel…

is our journey…

through the Book of Revelation.

Not…

one headline at a time.

Not…

one internet theory at a time.

But…

one chapter at a time.

One conversation…

at a time.

One clear biblical foundation…

at a time.

Today…

we began…

at the beginning.

We discovered…

that Revelation…

isn’t merely about…

future events.

It’s…

the Revelation…

of Jesus Christ.

We learned…

why Jesus gave us this book.

We stood…

before the glorified King…

walking among His churches.

We discovered…

the simple timeline…

He gave us Himself…

in Revelation 1:19.

And together…

we replaced panic…

with a biblical roadmap.

That’s where every healthy study…

of Revelation begins.

Not…

with fear.

Not…

with speculation.

But…

with Jesus.

Next time…

we’ll continue…

with His first message…

to the Church.

We’ll ask…

a deeply personal question…

“Which Church Are You?”

Because Revelation chapters 2 and 3…

aren’t simply letters…

to ancient churches.

They’re invitations…

for every believer…

to examine…

their own heart.

We’ll discover…

what Jesus praises.

What He corrects.

What He warns against.

And what He promises…

to those who overcome.

Friend…

that’s why this journey matters.

Each episode…

adds another piece…

to the picture.

Until one day…

you’ll open Revelation…

and instead of feeling overwhelmed…

you’ll know exactly…

where you are…

why it matters…

and most importantly…

what Jesus…

is saying.

One chapter.

One conversation.

One faithful step…

at a time.

And friend…

we’re just getting started.

PRAYER OF FAITH

Before we go… if you don’t know Jesus,

or if you’ve drifted far from Him

and you want to come home…

pray this with me.

Put your hands together and repeat after me:

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

If you believe that, He is in your heart right now, and you shall be saved.

And if you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer…

Father, in Jesus’ name,

Thank You for Your Word. Help us not just hear it – but obey it. Forgive us. Cleanse us. We repent, and we turn from sin back to You. Give us discernment in these last days. Help us understand prophecy the Bible’s way – with calm clarity, not fear. Make us wise, steady, and unshaken when the world shakes. Renew our minds, fill us with Your Spirit, and make us ready – without compromise. We give You our yes.

Amen.
