Hey friend…

Have you ever wondered whether God’s appointed times were only for the Jewish people?

Maybe you’ve always assumed the feasts belonged to Israel…

that they were Jewish traditions…

and really didn’t have much to do with your walk with Christ.

If that’s why you clicked this video…

you’re in the right place.

Today we’re going to answer that question directly from Scripture…

and by the end of our time together, you’ll understand whose appointed times they really are…

and why they still matter in God’s unfolding plan.

____________

Appointed Times in the Bible: Are They Only for the Jewish People?

Let’s open our Bibles together.

Today we’re going to answer one question…

Are God’s appointed times only for the Jewish people?

STEP 1 – What Are “Appointed Times” in Scripture?

STEP 2 – Did God’s Appointed Times Begin with Moses?

STEP 3 – Why Did Jesus Keep the Feasts?

STEP 4 – The Feasts Are God’s Prophetic Roadmap

STEP 5 – How Should Believers Respond Today?

We’ll begin by discovering what the Bible actually means by “appointed times.”

Then we’ll find out whether God’s calendar really began with Moses…

or if it started much earlier.

Next, we’ll ask why Jesus faithfully kept God’s appointed times…

and what that reveals about His mission.

From there, we’ll see how God’s appointed times form one remarkable prophetic roadmap…

pointing to Christ from beginning to end.

Finally, we’ll answer the practical question every believer eventually asks…

What should Christians do with all of this today?

By the end of today’s journey…

I hope you’ll no longer see God’s appointed times as someone else’s story…

but as part of God’s story—

a story that ultimately points every one of us to Jesus.

____________

Stay with me to the end because today’s toolkit will give you one simple sentence that explains God’s appointed times…

a sentence you’ll remember…

and one you can confidently share the next time someone says,

“Aren’t those just Jewish feasts?”

TODAY’S TOOLKIT / Moed in One Sentence

And if YOU’VE never trusted Jesus –

or you’re ready to come home to Him – we’ll pray together before YOU go.

____________

This is Guardians of Biblical Truth – your pathway to readiness for the return of Christ.

____________

One of the greatest lessons God has taught me is that His timing is always better than mine.

A while ago, I realized something that completely changed the way I plan my life. God hadn’t given me an endless assignment—He’d given me a season. When I understood that, the pressure lifted. I stopped trying to control every detail and started following His direction one step at a time.

Now I still make plans…

but I hold them loosely.

Because I’ve discovered that God’s calendar is never late, never rushed, and never accidental.

I’m Lori Ann Moeszinger, and this is Guardians of Biblical Truth, where we learn to trust God’s timing through Scripture with calm clarity and practical steps.

So if you’re ready to discover His rhythm instead of chasing your own…

keep watching.

____________

Real quick, before we answer today’s question, let me show you where this journey is taking us.

This is Episode 2 of our four-part foundation for understanding God’s calendar.

Today we’ll discover what the Bible really means by God’s appointed times—and whether they belong only to ancient Israel or to every believer who follows Jesus.

Last time we discovered that God’s calendar didn’t begin with Moses.

It began with Creation.

Today we’ll answer one of the biggest questions Christians ask:

“Are God’s appointed times only for the Jewish people?”

Next, we’ll discover why Jesus Himself kept the biblical feasts—

and what that reveals about His mission.

Then we’ll finish by seeing how the biblical feasts form God’s prophetic roadmap—

revealing His plan from Genesis to Revelation.

Every episode builds on the one before it, so I encourage you to stay with the journey.

Now…

let’s answer today’s question.

____________

STEP 1 – What Are “Appointed Times” in Scripture?

Have you ever noticed that most Christians hear the words biblical feasts or appointed times and immediately think, “That’s Jewish.”

If that’s what you’ve always believed, you’re not alone.

But today I want to show you something that may completely change how you read your Bible.

The first quick win is simply this:

Before God’s appointed times were ever Israel’s calendar… they were God’s calendar.

That’s where we have to begin.

The Bible doesn’t introduce these days as Jewish traditions. It introduces them as appointments established by God Himself.

Let’s start in Genesis.

Genesis 1:14 – “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”

Most of us read that verse and move on.

But one word deserves our attention.

“Seasons.”

In English, we naturally think of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

But the Hebrew word here is moed (plural: moedim).

It doesn’t simply mean a weather season.

It means appointed times… fixed appointments… meetings established in advance.

Think about that.

On the fourth day of Creation—before Abraham…
before Moses…
before Israel…
before the Law…

God established appointed times.

He built rhythm into Creation itself.

That means God’s calendar didn’t begin at Mount Sinai.

It began in Genesis.

Two thousand years later, God would give Moses detailed instructions for observing these appointments.

But He wasn’t inventing something new.

He was codifying what already belonged to Him.

Now let’s move to Leviticus.

Leviticus 23:1–2 – “And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My Feasts.”

Did you notice whose feasts they are?

Not Moses’.

Not Israel’s.

Not the Jewish people’s.

God says,

“These are MY feasts.”

That one sentence changes the conversation.

For centuries, many believers have unknowingly renamed them.

We’ve called them Jewish feasts.

But Scripture calls them the feasts of the LORD.

That’s an important distinction.

Israel was entrusted with observing them.

But they belong to God.

Imagine someone borrowing your car every week.

Eventually everyone in town starts calling it their car.

You would probably smile and say,

“No…

that’s still my car.

I’m simply allowing someone else to drive it.”

In a similar way, God entrusted Israel with His appointed times.

Their stewardship never changed God’s ownership.

Now here’s why this matters to you.

If we begin by assuming these are merely Jewish customs, we may never ask what God intended them to teach.

But if we recognize that they are God’s appointments, suddenly our perspective changes.

Instead of asking,

“Do I have to keep these?”

we begin asking,

“Lord… why did You create them?”

That’s a far better question.

Throughout this series, we’re going to discover that every appointed time reveals something about God’s character…

His redemption…

His timing…

and ultimately, His Son.

We’re not beginning with obligation.

We’re beginning with understanding.

Because whenever God establishes an appointment, He always has a purpose.

Here’s today’s quick win.

The next time you hear someone say, “the Jewish feasts,” gently remind yourself what Scripture actually says.

These are first and foremost…

the LORD’S appointed times.

That one biblical correction will help you read the rest of this series with fresh eyes.

Because before we can understand what God appointed…

we first need to remember who made the appointment.

And that’s exactly where realignment begins.

____________

Here’s something I’ve noticed.

When most Christians hear the words “appointed times,” they don’t immediately think, “I wonder what God is teaching me.”

They think…

“That’s probably not for me.”

Not because they’ve studied the Scriptures…

but because that’s simply what they’ve always heard.

Let’s talk about a few of you watching today.

THE QUESTIONER

Maybe that’s you.

You’re not trying to argue.

You’re genuinely asking,

“Where does the Bible actually say these are God’s appointments and not simply Jewish traditions?”

I love that question.

Because God never asks us to build our faith on assumptions.

He invites us to search His Word.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing together.

THE SKEPTICAL OBSERVER

Maybe you’re watching with your guard up.

You’ve seen sensational teachings.

You’ve watched people twist prophecy.

You’ve heard bold claims with very little Bible.

So you’re thinking,

“Show me the Scriptures—not opinions.”

Friend…

keep that attitude.

Don’t believe something because I say it.

Believe it because the Bible says it.

If today’s lesson isn’t grounded in Scripture, don’t keep it.

But if God’s Word clearly reveals something…

follow His Word wherever it leads.

THE HUNGRY DISCIPLE

Then there’s the hungry disciple.

You’ve been praying,

“Lord, I don’t just want more information.

I want to understand Your heart.”

That’s why today’s discovery matters.

When you realize these are the LORD’S appointed times, not merely Israel’s traditions, the entire Bible begins fitting together differently.

Suddenly Genesis, Leviticus, the Gospels, and Revelation no longer feel disconnected.

They become one beautiful story…

told by one faithful Author.

And that’s today’s proof.

I’ve watched this happen over and over.

The moment believers stop asking,

“Are these Jewish?”

and begin asking,

“Why did God establish these appointments?”

their Bible reading changes.

Not because someone handed them a new doctrine…

but because they started reading Scripture on Scripture.

That’s what we’re doing together.

One verse.

One question.

One discovery at a time.

Because realignment doesn’t begin with changing your calendar.

It begins with changing the question you bring to God’s Word.

____________

Now that we’ve discovered what God’s appointed times are, the next question naturally follows:

Did they begin with Moses… or did they exist long before Israel?

The answer reaches all the way back to Creation—and it changes how we read the entire Bible.

____________

STEP 2 – Did God’s Appointed Times Begin with Moses?

Here’s one of the most common statements you’ll hear:

“The feasts started with Moses, so they belonged only to Israel.”

It sounds reasonable.

After all, Moses is where we first read detailed instructions for Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles.

But here’s the question:

Did Moses create God’s appointed times… or did he simply record instructions for appointments that already belonged to God?

That’s an important distinction.

The Bible repeatedly shows us that God often establishes something long before He later explains it in greater detail.

We’ve already seen the first clue.

Genesis 1:14 – “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”

Remember that word “seasons.”

It is the Hebrew word moedim—appointed times.

Notice what is missing from Genesis.

There is no nation of Israel.

No Mount Sinai.

No tabernacle.

No Levitical priesthood.

God established His appointed times before any of those existed.

Now let’s fast-forward to Moses.

Leviticus 23:1–2 – “And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My Feasts.”

Notice what God does not say.

He doesn’t say,

“Moses, today I’m inventing something brand new.”

Instead, He says,

“These are My Feasts.”

Moses wasn’t creating God’s calendar.

He was receiving God’s instructions for how Israel was to observe what already belonged to the Lord.

Think about a family recipe that’s been passed down for generations.

One day someone writes it on a recipe card.

Did the recipe begin when it was written?

Of course not.

The written instructions simply preserved what already existed.

That’s very similar to what happens in Exodus and Leviticus.

God wasn’t creating His appointments.

He was codifying them for His covenant people.

And this pattern appears throughout Scripture.

Take the Sabbath.

Many people believe the Sabbath began with Moses because that’s where Israel received the commandment.

But look what the Bible says.

Genesis 2:2–3 – “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.”

When did God bless the seventh day?

At Creation.

Long before Sinai.

Long before Israel.

Long before Moses.

Later, God commanded Israel to remember the Sabbath—not because it had just been invented—but because it had already been established by God Himself.

The same principle helps us understand the appointed times.

Creation establishes God’s rhythm.

Moses records God’s instructions.

The foundation comes first.

The details come later.

Here’s why this matters for your Bible study.

If we begin reading in Exodus or Leviticus, we can accidentally assume everything begins there.

But when we read the Bible from Genesis forward, we discover something beautiful.

God has been telling one unified story from the very beginning.

His calendar…

His rhythms…

His plan of redemption…

all unfold progressively throughout Scripture.

That’s why I encourage you to ask a different question.

Instead of asking,

“Did Moses invent God’s appointed times?”

Ask,

“What was God revealing from the beginning that Moses later recorded?”

That question opens the door to a much richer understanding of Scripture.

Here’s today’s second win.

Moses did not originate God’s calendar.

He faithfully recorded God’s instructions for a people He had redeemed.

Understanding that simple truth helps us see the Bible as one continuous story rather than disconnected pieces.

And once you begin reading it that way…

Genesis, Exodus, the Gospels, and Revelation begin speaking with one voice.

That’s exactly the kind of realignment God desires—not simply learning new information, but seeing His Word as one beautifully connected story from Creation to Christ.

____________

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to confuse when something is written down with when it actually began?

Think about a family tradition.

Maybe your grandmother’s famous pie recipe was finally written onto an index card fifty years after she first baked it.

The recipe didn’t begin the day someone picked up a pen.

The written instructions simply preserved something that had existed all along.

That’s exactly what we’re seeing in Scripture.

Let’s talk about a few of you watching today.

THE RETURNING BELIEVER

Maybe you’re rediscovering your faith after years away.

As you read the Old Testament again, you’re realizing there are whole sections you’ve never really understood.

You may have skipped over Leviticus because it felt distant or irrelevant.

Friend, don’t be discouraged.

You’re not starting over.

You’re seeing the Bible with fresh eyes.

Sometimes God doesn’t reveal something because we’re smarter.

He reveals it because we’re finally ready to see it.

THE DEBATE WATCHER

Maybe you’ve watched endless debates online.

One person says the appointed times are only for Israel.

Another says every believer must observe them exactly the same way.

Before long, you’re exhausted.

Can I encourage you with something?

Our goal isn’t to win arguments.

Our goal is to understand what God actually said.

When Scripture becomes the starting point instead of someone’s opinion, the conversation becomes much calmer—and much clearer.

THE ISOLATED REMNANT BELIEVER

Maybe you’ve felt like you’re the only one asking these questions.

You love Jesus.

You love His Word.

And you’ve quietly wondered,

“Have I missed something?”

You’re not looking for a new movement.

You’re looking for biblical truth.

That’s why we’re taking this journey slowly.

Not to convince you of a tradition…

but to let Scripture interpret Scripture.

Because when God’s Word becomes your foundation, you don’t have to be afraid of asking honest questions.

That’s today’s proof point.

I’ve watched believers experience tremendous freedom when they stop treating the Bible as separate collections of stories and begin reading it as one unfolding revelation.

Instead of seeing Genesis, Moses, the prophets, Jesus, and Revelation as disconnected chapters, they begin seeing one faithful Author revealing one beautiful redemption story.

And suddenly, the appointed times no longer feel like an isolated Old Testament topic.

They become another thread woven into God’s larger plan.

That’s the transformation we’re after.

Not more information.

A more connected Bible.

____________

Now that we’ve seen God’s appointed times didn’t begin with Moses, another question naturally follows:

If these appointments belong to God… why did Jesus keep them?

His answer isn’t just historical—it reveals the heart of His mission and the unity of the entire Bible.

____________

STEP 3 – Why Did Jesus Keep the Feasts?

If God’s appointed times belonged to the Father…

then one question naturally follows.

What did Jesus do with them?

Did He ignore them?

Did He replace them?

Or did He embrace them?

The answer is both simple and profound.

Jesus didn’t merely observe God’s appointed times.

He fulfilled them.

Let’s begin with His own words.

Matthew 5:17 – “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

Notice what Jesus did not say.

He didn’t come to erase God’s story.

He came to bring it to its intended fulfillment.

That word “fulfil” is beautiful.

It means to complete…

to bring to its full meaning…

to accomplish what was always intended.

Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus lived in perfect harmony with His Father’s will—and with His Father’s appointed times.

Consider Passover.

Luke 22:14–16 – “And when the hour was come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. And He said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

Jesus didn’t stumble into Passover by accident.

He intentionally gathered with His disciples because He knew what that appointment represented.

For centuries, Israel remembered the lamb whose blood spared their firstborn in Egypt.

Now the true Lamb of God was preparing to offer Himself for the sins of the world.

The appointment had always been pointing to Him.

John the Baptist recognized this from the beginning.

John 1:29 – “The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.”

Do you see the connection?

Passover wasn’t merely a memorial of the Exodus.

It was a prophetic picture of Jesus Christ.

God had been telling the story long before Bethlehem.

Long before Calvary.

Long before the empty tomb.

Every appointed time was preparing His people to recognize their Messiah.

Paul later writes these remarkable words.

1 Corinthians 5:7 – “Purge out therefore the old leaven (sin), that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.”

There it is.

Paul doesn’t merely compare Jesus to the Passover lamb.

He declares,

“Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.”

The shadow had met its substance.

The symbol had met its fulfillment.

The appointment had reached its destination.

That’s why understanding God’s appointed times matters.

Not because we’re trying to become experts in ancient ceremonies.

But because every one of them reveals another facet of Jesus.

They help us see His life…

His death…

His resurrection…

and ultimately, His return with greater clarity.

Here’s today’s third win.

When you read about God’s appointed times, don’t begin by asking,

“What ceremony took place?”

Begin by asking,

“What does this reveal about Jesus?”

That one question transforms the way you read your Bible.

Instead of seeing isolated religious observances…

you begin seeing God’s redemptive plan unfolding with breathtaking precision.

And here’s the beautiful truth.

Jesus didn’t come to start a new story.

He came as the fulfillment of the story the Father had been writing from the very beginning.

That’s why the appointed times still matter.

Not because they point us backward to Israel…

but because they point us upward to Christ.

And as we’ll discover next, they don’t only explain His first coming.

They also form a prophetic roadmap that points to what is still to come.

____________

Have you ever noticed how often people read the Old Testament and the New Testament as though they’re telling two different stories?

The Old Testament feels like Israel’s story.

The New Testament feels like Jesus’ story.

But when you begin looking for Jesus throughout the whole Bible…

you discover they’ve always been the same story.

Let me speak to a few friends watching today.

THE SEEKER

Maybe you’re still getting to know Jesus.

You’ve heard His name your whole life, but you’re just beginning to read the Bible for yourself.

Friend…

don’t be surprised if you start finding Jesus in places you never expected.

Long before Bethlehem…

long before the cross…

God was already preparing the world to recognize His Son.

That’s the beauty of Scripture.

The more you read it, the more you discover that Jesus isn’t added at the end…

He’s woven through the whole story.

THE PROPHECY BURNOUT VIEWER

Maybe you’ve spent years chasing prophecy charts…

timelines…

headlines…

trying to figure out what’s coming next.

Can I encourage you with something?

Biblical prophecy isn’t first about satisfying our curiosity.

It’s about revealing Jesus.

When Christ becomes the center instead of speculation…

peace begins replacing anxiety.

Because the goal isn’t simply to know future events.

The goal is to know the Savior who holds the future.

THE ENCOURAGER

Maybe God has given you opportunities to encourage other believers.

Sometimes you’ve wondered,

“How do I help people love the Bible more?”

Start with Jesus.

Every time you help someone see Him more clearly…

their confidence in Scripture grows.

Because every page begins pointing to the same faithful Redeemer.

That’s what I’ve watched happen again and again.

When believers stop seeing the feasts as isolated religious ceremonies and begin seeing them as signposts pointing to Christ…

their love for the Bible deepens.

Not because they’ve learned another doctrine…

but because they’ve discovered one beautiful truth:

The Bible has one Author…

one Redeemer…

and one unfolding story.

That’s the transformation we’re after.

Not simply learning about appointed times…

but learning to see Jesus more clearly on every page.

Imagine standing in a large airport.

Every sign points in a direction.

One sign leads to baggage claim.

Another points to security.

Another directs you toward your departure gate.

No one stands in front of the sign and says,

“I’ve reached my destination.”

The sign isn’t the destination.

It exists to point you there.

God’s appointed times work the same way.

They were never the destination.

They were God’s signposts.

Each one points beyond itself…

until every road leads to Jesus Christ.

When you understand that…

you stop staring at the signs…

and start rejoicing in the Savior they were always pointing toward.

____________

So if every appointed time points to Jesus…

what story are they telling together?

In our next step, we’ll step back and see the bigger picture—how God’s appointed times form one remarkable prophetic roadmap, revealing His plan from Creation to Christ’s return.

____________

Before we go any further, let me tell YOU what’s waiting at the end of today’s journey…

I’ll share Today’s Toolkit—“Moed in One Sentence.” It’s one simple sentence that explains God’s appointed times in a clear, biblical way—something YOU can easily remember and confidently share with someone who asks.

If YOU’VE ever thought, “I wouldn’t know how to explain this,” stay with me. I think you’re going to find it both encouraging and incredibly practical.

____________

STORY OF AWAKENING

Can I tell YOU about someone?

In the quaint village of Evergrace, nestled between verdant hills and a crystal-clear river, lived a knight named Eliam. A man of 30-years, with eyes as deep as the waters he stood beside, Eliam was known not for the battles he fought but for the inner dragons he sought to conquer. The sword at his side was a family heirloom, gleaming and unblemished, a silent witness to the turmoil within.

Eliam’s dragon was doubt, a smokey wraith that crept into his thoughts at the cusp of night, whispering questions about worth, faith, and salvation. The villagers saw his shining armor and his confident stride, but they did not see the creases of worry that lined his forehead when he was alone, pondering the path to true peace.

The moment that would change Eliam’s life came unexpectedly. It was during the annual celebration of remembrance when the village gathered to honor the history of their faith. That year, a traveler, a humble man of God named Silas, came speaking of salvation not as a burdensome quest but as a gift—free, unearned, yet requiring a response.

Silas spoke of the waters of baptism, not as the sword that defeats the dragon but as the declaration of a battle already won. “Repentance,” he said, touching his heart, “is where the dragon is slain, and belief is your shield. Baptism? It is the banner you raise to show the world which King you serve.”

In the hush of the gathered crowd, Eliam’s armor felt heavy. It was a weight he no longer needed to carry. As Silas poured water from the river, speaking ancient words that echoed through the hills, Eliam stepped forward. His hand did not go to his sword; instead, he removed his gauntlet and let it fall to the ground.

The water was cool, and as it enveloped him, Eliam realized the moment had come. The dragon’s smoke cleared, and he emerged from the river with a joyous gasp, a knight reborn not by the sword but by the water’s grace and his heart’s true confession. It was not the act itself but the faith it represented that transformed Eliam.

The villagers saw Eliam’s soaked hair and his radiant smile, and they understood. This was not the same knight who had walked stoically through their streets. Here was a man who had found the answer to the questions that once haunted him, and in doing so, he gave them a glimpse of their own potential journey to peace.

The sword remained by the river that day, a symbol of the old battles. Eliam’s new strength lay in the testimony of his faith, a story that would ripple through the village, changing lives as it had changed his.

Peace—this was the elusive treasure that Eliam had been seeking, the antidote to his nightly unrest. Silas’s words were simple, but they addressed the knight’s deepest fears. In the acceptance of grace, through the waters of baptism, Eliam found the peace that armor and sword could never give.

It was not the plunge into the river that shifted the world for Eliam, but the instant his gauntlet hit the ground—a resolute thud that silenced the whispers of his dragon, signifying a release from the burdens of doubt and the embrace of a faith renewed.

The gauntlet, once a necessary protection, now lay abandoned; while the river, once just a part of the landscape, became sacred in the eyes of the beholder. The villagers would always remember the sight of the knight, the weight of his armor discarded, standing drenched and triumphant—a true warrior of faith.

____________

Maybe today’s Story of Awakening wasn’t actually for YOU.

Maybe…

it was for the person God quietly placed on YOUR heart.

The friend who’s carrying questions…

but is afraid to ask them.

The believer who has always thought the Bible was too complicated…

so they’ve stopped trying to understand it.

The husband who’s searching for peace…

but keeps looking in all the wrong places.

The woman who loves Jesus…

yet feels disconnected from the Old Testament because she doesn’t know how it all fits together.

Did someone come to mind?

Because if they did…

maybe today’s conversation wasn’t meant to end with YOU.

Maybe God intends for it to continue through YOU.

If someone came to mind while hearing Eliam’s story…

send them this video.

Not because you have every answer.

But because God’s Word has a way of answering questions we don’t even know how to ask.

You never know what God might do through one conversation…

one Scripture…

one invitation…

or one story.

Sometimes one shared video becomes the beginning of someone’s journey…

from confusion to clarity…

from curiosity to conviction…

and from simply reading the Bible…

to seeing Jesus woven through every page.

So if God brought someone to your mind today…

pray for them…

and then consider sharing this message.

Because one faithful step of obedience…

may become the very appointment God has prepared for someone else’s life.

____________

STEP 4 – The Feasts Are God’s Prophetic Roadmap

Have you ever driven through unfamiliar country using only one road sign?

It wouldn’t take long before you’d feel lost.

One sign might tell you where you are.

But it takes many signs to guide you all the way to your destination.

I think that’s one of the reasons God didn’t give just one appointed time.

He gave several.

Not because He wanted His people to memorize a religious calendar…

but because each appointment revealed another part of His redemption story.

Together, they form a beautiful roadmap.

Let’s begin with one verse that quietly holds them all together.

Leviticus 23:2 – “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My Feasts.”

Notice that Scripture presents these appointments as a collection.

Not isolated celebrations.

Not unrelated events.

One unfolding pattern established by God Himself.

Now listen to what Paul writes.

Colossians 2:16–17 – “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

That phrase is remarkable.

“A shadow of things to come.”

Think about a shadow.

A shadow isn’t the reality itself.

But it tells you something real is approaching.

Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem…

God was casting shadows across history.

Each appointed time pointed beyond itself.

Each one quietly whispered,

“The Messiah is coming.”

Then, at exactly the right moment, the substance arrived.

Jesus Christ.

This is why we don’t study God’s appointed times as an end in themselves.

We study them because they reveal Christ more clearly.

Some point to His sacrificial death.

Some point to His resurrection.

Some point to the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And others still point forward to His glorious return.

That’s why this roadmap is so extraordinary.

It doesn’t merely explain the past.

It stretches from Creation…

through the cross…

all the way to the consummation of God’s kingdom.

Jesus hinted at this larger story after His resurrection.

Luke 24:27 – “And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”

Imagine hearing that conversation.

Jesus walks through the Scriptures…

showing how they all point to Him.

Genesis.

Moses.

The Prophets.

The Psalms.

Every part contributes to one magnificent story.

That’s exactly how we should approach God’s appointed times.

Not as disconnected observances…

but as chapters in God’s unfolding revelation.

Here’s something else that’s important.

A roadmap only helps if you understand where you’re standing.

Many Christians know about Christmas…

Easter…

and perhaps Pentecost.

But they’ve never seen how those events fit within the larger biblical pattern God established from the beginning.

When you begin seeing the roadmap as a whole…

your confidence in Scripture grows.

You realize the Bible wasn’t assembled randomly over centuries.

It unfolds with remarkable unity and purpose.

Here’s today’s fourth win.

Don’t think of God’s appointed times as seven separate feasts.

Think of them as one redemption story told in seven beautiful movements.

Each movement reveals another aspect of God’s faithfulness.

Each appointment points to Jesus.

And together they remind us that the God who fulfilled every promise surrounding Christ’s first coming…

can be trusted to fulfill every promise concerning His return.

That’s why this roadmap matters.

Not because it satisfies our curiosity…

but because it strengthens our confidence.

The God who planned redemption from the beginning…

is faithfully bringing His plan to completion.

____________

Have you ever finished a thousand-piece puzzle?

While you’re holding one tiny piece in your hand…

it doesn’t seem very impressive.

It might even look meaningless.

But then you place it where it belongs.

Suddenly…

the picture becomes a little clearer.

That’s what happens when we begin seeing God’s appointed times together instead of separately.

Each one is a single piece.

Together…

they reveal the masterpiece.

Let me speak to a few friends watching today.

THE HUNGRY DISCIPLE

Maybe you’ve spent years reading the Bible chapter by chapter.

You’ve loved God’s Word…

but you’ve always wondered how everything fits together.

Friend…

you’re not looking for more information.

You’re looking for connection.

That’s exactly what God’s prophetic roadmap provides.

The Bible stops feeling like sixty-six separate books…

and begins reading like one extraordinary story.

THE ANXIOUS WATCHER

Maybe the headlines have left you unsettled.

Wars…

economic uncertainty…

cultural confusion…

Every week someone claims to know exactly what’s coming next.

Can I encourage you?

God never intended His people to live from headline to headline.

He invites us to live from promise to promise.

The roadmap reminds us that history isn’t spinning out of control.

It’s moving toward the destination God has already declared.

THE SILENT WATCHER

Maybe you’ve been quietly following this journey.

You’ve never commented.

You’ve simply been learning.

If that’s you…

thank you for taking this journey with us.

Sometimes the deepest transformations happen quietly.

Not in dramatic moments…

but when one biblical truth connects to another…

until suddenly the whole picture comes into focus.

That’s what I’ve watched happen again and again.

People stop reading isolated stories…

and begin seeing one faithful God unfolding one redemptive plan.

Not a collection of disconnected events.

One magnificent roadmap…

leading every generation to Jesus Christ.

Imagine standing in an art gallery just inches away from a massive mural.

All you can see are brushstrokes.

Some are dark.

Some are bright.

Some seem completely out of place.

But then you slowly step backward.

With every step…

the picture becomes clearer.

The individual brushstrokes haven’t changed.

Your perspective has.

That’s what God’s appointed times do.

They invite us to step back from individual events and see the larger masterpiece God has been painting since Creation.

Every appointment has its place.

Every promise has its purpose.

And together they reveal the faithfulness of God from Genesis to Revelation.

____________

So if God’s appointed times form one beautiful roadmap…

what does that mean for us today?

In our final step, we’ll answer the practical question every believer eventually asks:

How should followers of Jesus respond to God’s appointed times today?

____________

STEP 5 – How Should Believers Respond Today?

After everything we’ve discovered today, one question naturally remains.

What should followers of Jesus do with God’s appointed times today?

That’s an important question.

And before we answer it, let’s remember something we’ve learned throughout this episode.

Our goal has never been to make God’s appointed times the center of our faith.

Jesus Christ is the center of our faith.

God’s appointed times help us understand Him more clearly.

They point us to Him.

They reveal Him.

They prepare us to recognize Him.

So how should we respond?

Let’s begin with the words of Jesus.

John 5:39 – “Search the Scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.”

Think about that.

Jesus tells us that the Scriptures testify of Him.

From Genesis…

to the Law…

to the Prophets…

to the Psalms…

the entire Bible bears witness to Christ.

That means every time we study God’s appointed times, our first question shouldn’t be,

“What ritual should I perform?”

Our first question should be,

“What does this reveal about Jesus?”

That simple shift changes everything.

Now listen to Paul.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 – “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

Notice what Paul says.

All Scripture is profitable.

Not only the passages we already understand.

Not only the passages we’re comfortable with.

All Scripture.

That includes Genesis.

Leviticus.

The Gospels.

The Epistles.

And Revelation.

God gave every part of His Word because every part reveals His heart.

That doesn’t mean every command is applied in exactly the same way under every covenant.

The New Testament spends significant time helping believers understand the fulfillment of the Law in Christ.

But it does mean we shouldn’t ignore portions of Scripture simply because they feel unfamiliar.

Instead, we study them carefully, always asking how they fit within God’s unfolding plan of redemption centered in Jesus.

The Bereans give us a beautiful example.

Acts 17:11 – “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

I love that verse.

The Bereans weren’t praised because they accepted everything they heard.

They were praised because they searched the Scriptures.

That’s exactly what I hope you’ll do throughout this entire Realignment journey.

Don’t simply accept my words.

Open your Bible.

Read the passages.

Compare Scripture with Scripture.

Ask good questions.

Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you into truth.

Finally, listen to Paul’s encouragement.

Colossians 3:16 – “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

The goal isn’t merely to accumulate biblical facts.

It’s to let the Word of Christ dwell richly within us.

As we discover God’s appointed times, we aren’t collecting interesting information.

We’re growing in our understanding of God’s character…

His faithfulness…

His redemption…

and His Son.

Here’s today’s fifth win.

You don’t have to fear God’s appointed times.

You don’t have to argue about them.

And you don’t have to ignore them.

Instead…

approach them the way you approach every other page of Scripture:

With humility.

With curiosity.

With an open Bible.

And with your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ.

Because that’s where every appointed time ultimately leads.

Not to a ceremony.

Not to a calendar.

But to the Savior who fulfilled the Father’s plan with perfect faithfulness.

And as we’ll continue discovering throughout this lane, the more clearly you see God’s rhythm…

the more confidently you’ll walk in God’s purposes.

One appointment…

one discovery…

one faithful step at a time.

____________

Can I leave you with one final observation?

I’ve discovered that the people who grow the deepest in their walk with Christ aren’t the ones who think they have every answer.

They’re the ones who keep opening their Bible with humble hearts.

They’re willing to ask,

“Lord… what are You trying to teach me?”

instead of,

“How quickly can I prove my position?”

Let me speak to a few friends watching today.

THE QUESTIONER

Maybe you’re the person who always asks one more question.

Not because you want to argue…

but because you genuinely want to understand.

Friend…

don’t lose that curiosity.

Throughout Scripture, God never rebukes people for sincerely seeking Him.

Keep asking.

Keep comparing Scripture with Scripture.

A heart that honestly seeks truth is a heart God can continue to teach.

THE EXHAUSTED BELIEVER

Maybe life has been so busy that Bible study has begun feeling like another task on an already full calendar.

Can I encourage you?

God isn’t inviting you into another burden.

He’s inviting you into a deeper relationship.

The goal isn’t to master every detail of God’s calendar this week.

The goal is simply to know the God who gave it.

One chapter.

One prayer.

One faithful morning at a time.

THE ENCOURAGER

Maybe God has placed people in your life who are hungry to learn.

Your children.

A friend.

A small group.

A neighbor.

Perhaps the greatest gift you can give them isn’t having every answer.

It’s showing them how to search the Scriptures with humility.

That’s how disciples are made.

Not by winning debates…

but by opening God’s Word together.

That’s what I hope this Realignment journey becomes for all of us.

Not a series of arguments.

A series of discoveries.

Because when we approach Scripture with open hands instead of closed fists…

the Holy Spirit has room to deepen our understanding.

And when Christ remains at the center…

biblical truth doesn’t divide our hearts.

It draws us closer to the One every page is pointing toward.

Imagine receiving a beautifully handcrafted compass.

You could spend hours studying the brass…

admiring its craftsmanship…

reading about its history.

But the compass wasn’t made to sit on a shelf.

It was made to help you walk in the right direction.

God’s appointed times are much the same.

They weren’t given simply to satisfy our curiosity.

They were given to point our hearts toward Jesus and help us walk more faithfully with Him.

The value isn’t found in collecting information.

The value is found in allowing God’s Word to continually realign the direction of our lives.

____________

Today we’ve discovered that God’s appointed times belong to Him, point to Jesus, and invite us into a deeper understanding of His Word.

Before we continue our journey, I’d love to leave you with one simple truth you can remember—and confidently share. Let’s finish with today’s toolkit: Moed in One Sentence.

____________

TODAY’S TOOLKIT – Moed in One Sentence

Before we finish today’s lesson…

it’s time for Today’s Toolkit.

I want to leave you with something simple.

Something you can remember.

Something you can share.

I call it “Moed in One Sentence.”

Here’s the sentence:

“A moed is God’s appointed time to reveal His redemptive plan through Jesus Christ.”

That’s it.

One sentence.

Notice what it doesn’t say.

It doesn’t say, “A Jewish holiday.”

It doesn’t say, “An Old Testament tradition.”

It doesn’t say, “A ceremony we no longer need to understand.”

The Bible presents a moed as something much richer.

It is God’s appointment.

An appointment He established.

An appointment He keeps.

An appointment that reveals another part of His story of redemption.

Throughout Scripture, every appointed time teaches us something about God’s character…

His faithfulness…

His timing…

and ultimately, His Son.

So the next time someone asks,

“What are God’s appointed times?”

You don’t have to give a thirty-minute Bible study.

You can simply smile and say:

“A moed is God’s appointed time to reveal His redemptive plan through Jesus Christ.”

Then let the conversation begin.

Because that’s exactly what Jesus did.

He met people where they were…

and invited them to discover something greater.

Friend, I hope you’ll carry that sentence with you this week.

Not as a slogan…

but as a reminder.

Every appointment God establishes has a purpose.

Every purpose points to Christ.

And every time you open your Bible, you’re being invited into the greatest story ever told—

one appointment…

one promise…

one faithful step at a time.

Before we move on…

I’d like to leave you with one thought.

Remember this…

God’s appointed times aren’t merely dates on a calendar – they reveal His faithful plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.

____________

Before we wrap…

If today’s message strengthened YOUR confidence in Christ…

comment “READY.”

I read those comments every week,

and I love seeing believers encourage one another.

And before YOU leave…

tell me one step YOU’RE going to take this week.

Maybe it’s opening your Bible tomorrow morning.

Maybe it’s talking with Jesus for the first time in a long time.

Maybe it’s sharing the Gospel with someone.

Or maybe it’s simply choosing obedience in one area of YOUR life.

Because here at Guardians of Biblical Truth…

we believe Scripture becomes transformation one step at a time.

____________

WRAP UP – From My Calendar to God’s Calendar

Friend… before we move on, let’s pause for just a moment and take in what we’ve discovered together today.

We began with one simple question:

“Are God’s appointed times only for the Jewish people?”

And Scripture has gently led us to a beautiful answer.

We’ve discovered that God’s appointed times didn’t begin with a nation.

They began with God.

They were established by the Creator, entrusted to Israel, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and preserved in Scripture so every generation could better understand God’s unfolding plan of redemption.

Along the way, we’ve learned that these appointments aren’t primarily about ceremonies.

They’re about Christ.

Every appointed time reveals something about His character…

His mission…

His faithfulness…

and His promises.

Friend, I hope one thought stays with you this week.

The more clearly you see God’s appointments… the more clearly you’ll see God’s heart.

This journey has never been about becoming experts in biblical calendars.

It’s about becoming disciples who recognize that from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one magnificent story—and every page leads us to Jesus.

That’s what realignment looks like.

Not adding something new to your faith…

but seeing God’s Word as one beautifully connected story…

and taking one more faithful step on your Pathway to Spiritual Readiness.

____________

WHERE WE GO NEXT

Now let me show YOU where we’re headed next.

This wheel is our journey…

from simply reading the Bible…

to living in rhythm with God’s heart.

Today we completed the second spoke:

Appointed Times – Moed.

We discovered that God’s appointed times didn’t begin with Moses…

and they weren’t created for one people alone.

They belong to the Creator Himself.

Next time…

we’ll explore one of the most beautiful questions in all of Scripture:

“Why Did Jesus Keep the Feasts?”

Because if every feast points to Christ…

then watching Jesus walk through them changes the way we read the entire Bible.

You’ll begin to see His ministry through a completely new lens.

Not as a collection of disconnected stories…

but as the perfect fulfillment of God’s appointed times.

Every page begins connecting.

Every symbol begins making sense.

And every step draws us closer to the Savior.

That’s why this journey matters.

Each episode builds on the one before it.

One discovery.

One month.

One faithful step at a time.

Because one video may change how YOU read one passage…

but walking faithfully through God’s Word…

can transform the way you understand His entire plan of redemption.

PRAYER OF FAITH

Before we go… if you don’t know Jesus,

or if you’ve drifted far from Him

and you want to come home…

pray this with me.

Put your hands together and repeat after me:

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

If you believe that, He is in your heart right now, and you shall be saved.

And if you want to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray this prayer…

Father, in Jesus’ name,

Thank You for Your Word. Help us not just hear it – but obey it. Forgive us. Cleanse us. We repent, and we turn from sin back to You. Teach us to honor Your rhythms – Your Sabbath, Your appointed times, and Your ways – not man’s traditions. Order our homes, our time, and our priorities around You. Renew our minds, fill us with Your Spirit, and make us ready – without fear and without compromise. We give You our yes.

Amen.
