I usually begin every morning with a list of things I think need to happen that day. But I’ve learned to ask one simple question first:
“Father, what do YOU want to accomplish today?”
Sometimes He confirms my plans.
Sometimes He completely redirects them.
I’ve discovered that God’s interruptions are often His appointments.

STEP 1 – Is God Really Working According to a Plan?
Have you ever looked at your life and wondered…
“God… are You making this up as You go?”
Maybe you’ve prayed that prayer without even realizing it.
Because life feels random.
Opportunities appear and disappear.
Doors open…
then suddenly close.
Some seasons move quickly.
Others seem to last forever.
And if we’re honest…
sometimes it feels like everyone else is moving forward while we’re standing still.
Here’s the first truth I want you to see today:
The Bible never presents God as reacting to history.
It presents Him as directing it.
That alone can change how you see every circumstance in your life.
Let’s begin where God begins.
Genesis 1:14 – “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”
Most of us read that verse and think it’s simply describing the sun, moon, and stars.
But there’s something much deeper happening.
Notice the order.
God didn’t merely create light.
He established time.
And He established it with purpose.
The word translated “seasons” isn’t talking about spring, summer, fall, and winter.
The Hebrew word is moedim—appointed times.
Divinely appointed times.
Sacred appointments.
Before there was Israel…
before there was Moses…
before there was the Law…
before there was even sin’s full story unfolding…
God established His rhythm for creation.
That means His calendar did not begin with one nation.
It began with the Creator Himself.
This is one of the biggest misunderstandings many Christians have today.
People often say,
“That’s the Jewish calendar.”
But Scripture says something different.
It is God’s calendar.
Israel didn’t invent it.
God revealed it.
Thousands of years after creation, He simply codified what He had already established from the beginning.
That changes everything.
Because if God established appointed times before Abraham…
before Moses…
before Israel…
then His timing has always been part of His design for humanity.
Now listen to what Solomon writes.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
Notice those words.
“A time…”
“For every purpose.”
Not some purposes.
Every purpose.
God isn’t improvising.
He isn’t surprised by history.
He isn’t reacting to your life.
He sees the beginning and the end at the same time.
Isaiah reminds us why.
Isaiah 46:9–10 – “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”
What a remarkable picture.
God declares the end from the beginning.
Not because He’s guessing…
but because He’s writing the story.
That doesn’t mean every painful event is something God delights in.
Scripture clearly shows that human beings make real choices.
Sin has real consequences.
But through it all, God’s purposes continue moving forward.
Nothing catches Him off guard.
Here’s your first win today.
When life feels uncertain…
don’t measure God’s faithfulness by your circumstances.
Measure it by His character.
The same God who established the stars…
the seasons…
the days…
and the years…
is the same God who holds your life.
He has never lost control of history.
And He hasn’t lost control of your story either.
Today, you don’t have to understand every chapter.
You simply have to trust the Author.
Because throughout this series, you’re going to discover something beautiful:
God’s calendar isn’t primarily about dates.
It’s about a God who keeps every promise He makes.
And once you begin seeing life through His rhythm instead of your own deadlines, you’ll find something many believers have been missing all along—
not just greater understanding…
but greater peace.

you’re asking exactly the right question.
Because before you can understand prophecy…
or the feasts…
or even God’s calendar…
you first need to know that God Himself is intentional.
Not random.
THE PROPHECY BURNOUT VIEWER
Maybe you’ve spent years chasing prophecy updates.
Every week another headline.
Another prediction.
Another timeline.
And instead of feeling closer to Jesus…
you’ve become tired.
Maybe even discouraged.
If that’s you…
I’m so glad you’re here.
Because this lane isn’t about chasing the next news cycle.
It’s about discovering the rhythm God established long before today’s headlines existed.
His calendar brings stability because God doesn’t change every time the news does.
THE ANXIOUS WATCHER
Maybe your biggest question isn’t about prophecy at all.
It’s about tomorrow.
You’re carrying concerns about your family…
your health…
your finances…
your future.
You love Jesus…
but anxiety keeps whispering louder than peace.
Friend…
what if peace doesn’t begin by knowing tomorrow…
but by trusting the One who already stands there?
When you begin believing that God works according to His perfect timing…
you stop feeling like life is spinning out of control.
Because even when you don’t understand the schedule…
you know the One who wrote it.
That’s what today’s lesson is really about.
Not memorizing dates.
Not becoming an expert on biblical calendars.
But discovering that the God who established time…
is faithful with yours.
And when you begin trusting His rhythm…
your heart starts resting before your circumstances ever change.
Think about an orchestra.
Before the audience hears a single beautiful note, there is already a score.
Every instrument has an assigned entrance.
Every pause has purpose.
If one musician looked up halfway through rehearsal and said, “I don’t understand why I’m not playing yet,” the conductor wouldn’t panic.
He would simply smile.
“Your part is coming.”
Life with God often feels exactly like that.
We see only the page in front of us.
God sees the entire symphony.
That’s why Scripture continually invites us to trust Him—not because we understand every measure, but because the Conductor never loses His place.

Now that we’ve seen God has always worked according to a purposeful plan, the next question naturally follows:
If God’s timing is perfect… why does it so often feel different from ours?
Let’s open the Scriptures and discover why heaven’s clock doesn’t always match our own.

STEP 2 – Why Does God’s Timing Feel Different from Mine?
Have you ever noticed that God’s promises rarely arrive on your schedule?
Maybe you’ve prayed…
and expected an answer this week.
Instead, weeks became months.
Months became years.
After a while, you begin asking the question almost every believer asks at some point:
“God… if You’re working according to a perfect plan… why does Your timing feel so different from mine?”
That’s not a lack of faith.
It’s an honest question.
And thankfully, Scripture answers it.
One of the greatest differences between God’s perspective and ours is this:
We live inside time. God rules over it.
Peter explains it this way.
2 Peter 3:8–9 – “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Notice what Peter doesn’t say.
He doesn’t say God is late.
He says we misunderstand time.
We measure God’s faithfulness by clocks.
God measures it by His purposes.
To us, waiting often feels like silence.
To God, waiting is often preparation.
Think about Abraham.
God promised him a son.
Yet decades passed before Isaac was born.
Was God delayed?
No.
God was preparing both Abraham and history for exactly the right moment.
Think about Joseph.
He received a dream as a teenager.
Then came betrayal.
Slavery.
False accusation.
Prison.
Years of wondering.
Yet every delay became preparation for the position God had already planned.
Think about David.
Anointed king while still a shepherd boy.
Years later…
he finally wore the crown.
The promise came immediately.
The fulfillment came later.
Throughout Scripture we discover a pattern:
God often gives the promise before He reveals the process.
That’s difficult for us because our culture celebrates speed.
God often values maturity.
Listen to what Isaiah says.
Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Notice the verse doesn’t say,
“They that rush…”
“They that demand…”
“They that force open doors…”
It says,
“They that wait upon the LORD.”
Biblical waiting is never passive.
The Hebrew idea carries the picture of hopeful expectation.
Trust.
Dependence.
Remaining connected to God while He works.
Waiting isn’t doing nothing.
Waiting is believing that God is doing something—even when you can’t yet see it.
Jesus Himself demonstrated this rhythm.
Galatians 4:4–5 – “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”
Notice those beautiful words:
“When the fulness of the time was come.”
Not early.
Not late.
Exactly on time.
For centuries people waited for the Messiah.
Many wondered if God had forgotten His promise.
He hadn’t.
He was working through history until everything was ready.
If God orchestrated the coming of Christ with perfect precision…
don’t you think He can be trusted with the details of your life?
Here’s today’s second win.
Stop asking,
“Why hasn’t God moved yet?”
Instead ask,
“What might God be preparing while I wait?”
That question changes everything.
Because suddenly the waiting season no longer feels wasted.
It becomes part of God’s work.
As we continue through this lane, you’re going to see something remarkable.
God’s calendar isn’t merely a list of dates.
It’s a testimony that throughout all of history…
God has never missed one of His appointments.
Not one.
And if He keeps His appointments throughout history…
you can trust Him to keep His promises in your life.
Sometimes God’s timing feels different because He’s looking at the whole story…
while we’re only looking at today’s page.
And that’s why faith doesn’t demand to see tomorrow.
Faith trusts the Author who already knows how every chapter ends.

Have you ever noticed something?
Almost every believer loves God’s promises.
Very few enjoy God’s waiting room.
We celebrate breakthrough stories.
But we rarely talk about the ordinary Tuesdays…
the quiet months…
or the years when nothing seems to change.
Yet that’s where much of the Christian life is actually lived.
Let me speak to a few friends watching today.
THE RETURNING BELIEVER
Maybe you’ve recently come back to God.
You expected everything to change overnight.
Instead…
some prayers are still unanswered.
Some relationships are still complicated.
Some old consequences are still unfolding.
Friend…
don’t mistake God’s patience for His absence.
Coming home doesn’t mean the journey is over.
It means you’re finally walking with the One who knows the way.
THE EXHAUSTED BELIEVER
Maybe you’ve been faithfully serving your family…
loving people…
showing up every day…
and wondering if anyone notices.
Sometimes you even wonder if God notices.
Can I encourage you?
Faithfulness often looks wonderfully ordinary.
Most of the people God used throughout Scripture didn’t spend every day on a mountaintop.
Most of them simply kept obeying God one day at a time.
Never underestimate what God is building through your quiet obedience.
THE ISOLATED REMNANT BELIEVER
Maybe you’ve felt lonely in your walk with Christ.
You’ve chosen Scripture over popular opinion.
Faithfulness over convenience.
Sometimes it feels like you’re walking a road very few people understand.
Friend…
God has always preserved people who remained faithful during difficult seasons.
You’re never walking alone.
The same God who guides history is walking with you today.
What do these three people have in common?
None of them are wasting time.
They’re being formed by it.
Waiting isn’t God’s way of putting your life on pause.
It’s often His way of preparing your heart for what comes next.
Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t that your circumstances change.
It’s that you do.
Think about a master gardener.
After planting seeds, the garden doesn’t look impressive.
For days—or even weeks—it can appear as though nothing is happening.
But beneath the surface, roots are growing long before flowers appear.
If someone judged the garden too early, they’d wrongly conclude that nothing was alive.
Our walk with God often works the same way.
The deepest work He does isn’t always visible.
Before He changes what surrounds us, He often strengthens what is within us.
That’s why seasons of waiting are never empty in God’s hands.
They’re seasons where unseen roots are growing.

So if God’s timing is intentional, another important question naturally follows:
Did God’s calendar begin with Moses… or was it part of His plan from the very beginning?
Let’s go back to Genesis and discover where God’s appointed times truly began.

STEP 3 – Did God’s Calendar Start with Moses?
Can I show you something that completely changed the way I read my Bible?
For years, I assumed God’s calendar began with Moses.
After all, that’s where we first read about the feasts.
That’s where God gives Israel instructions.
That’s where many Bible teachers begin.
But then one day I asked myself a simple question.
“Did God create His calendar at Mount Sinai… or did He simply explain something that already existed?”
The answer surprised me.
And I think it may surprise you too.
Let’s go back—not to Exodus…
not to Leviticus…
but to the very first chapter of the Bible.
Genesis 1:14 – “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”
We’ve already looked at this verse, but now let’s slow down.
Notice the order.
God creates the heavenly lights for four purposes:
Signs.
Seasons.
Days.
Years.
Those aren’t random details.
They’re part of God’s design before sin entered the world.
Before there was a nation called Israel…
before Abraham…
before Moses…
before Mount Sinai…
God had already established His rhythm for time.
Now here’s the beautiful part.
The Hebrew word translated “seasons” is moedim.
It doesn’t simply mean spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
It means appointed times.
Divinely appointed meetings.
Appointments established by God Himself.
Now let’s fast-forward to Leviticus.
Leviticus 23:1–2 – “And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My Feasts.”
Did you catch those words?
“The feasts of the LORD.”
Not the feasts of Israel.
Not the feasts of Moses.
Not even the feasts of the Jewish people.
The feasts of the LORD.
That’s a remarkable distinction.
God doesn’t present these appointments as something Israel invented.
He presents them as something that belongs to Him.
So what happened at Sinai?
God wasn’t creating a brand-new calendar.
He was giving His covenant people instructions for faithfully observing the appointments He had established from the beginning.
Think about it this way.
The Constitution of a nation isn’t invented every time it’s printed.
It’s recorded.
Preserved.
Taught.
In a similar way, Moses recorded and codified what God had already woven into His redemptive plan.
That’s why Genesis matters so much.
Genesis gives us the foundation.
Leviticus gives us the instructions.
One tells us where God’s rhythm began.
The other tells Israel how to live within that rhythm.
Now listen to what David writes.
Psalm 104:19 – “He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.”
There it is again.
The same beautiful idea.
God appointed the moon for His appointed times.
The rhythms of heaven reflect the purposes of heaven.
None of this is accidental.
None of this is random.
Everything points to a Creator who orders time with wisdom and purpose.
Here’s today’s third win.
When you begin in Genesis instead of Leviticus, the entire Bible starts fitting together differently.
You stop seeing God’s calendar as belonging to one nation.
You begin seeing it as belonging to the Creator.
Israel had a sacred responsibility.
They were entrusted to preserve God’s Word and God’s appointed times.
But they weren’t the authors.
God was.
And that’s why this matters.
If God’s calendar began at Creation…
then it has always been part of His unfolding story of redemption.
The same God who established the lights in the heavens…
would one day send His Son in the fullness of time.
The same God who established appointed times in Genesis…
would fulfill those appointments through Jesus Christ.

Can I tell you what I’ve discovered over the years?
Sometimes one simple truth doesn’t just answer a question…
it changes the way you read the entire Bible.
For many Christians, God’s calendar has always felt like someone else’s story.
Something Jewish.
Something historical.
Something interesting…
but not especially relevant.
Maybe that’s been your experience too.
Let me speak to a few friends watching today.
THE HUNGRY DISCIPLE
Maybe you’ve been studying Scripture for years.
You love discovering how every book connects.
When you realize God’s appointed times begin in Genesis instead of Leviticus…
the Bible suddenly becomes one continuous story instead of disconnected pieces.
That’s one of the beautiful things about God’s Word.
The deeper you dig…
the more unified it becomes.
THE DEBATE WATCHER
Maybe you’ve heard people argue back and forth about the feasts…
about the Law…
about what Christians should or shouldn’t do.
Friend…
before listening to another debate…
open Genesis.
Because long before anyone began arguing about God’s calendar…
God had already spoken.
Our goal isn’t to win arguments.
Our goal is to let Scripture tell its own story.
THE SKEPTICAL OBSERVER
Maybe you’re naturally skeptical.
You don’t accept new ideas without seeing them in the Bible yourself.
I actually respect that.
God never asks us to build our faith on personalities.
He invites us to build it on His Word.
That’s why we’re beginning in Genesis.
Not because it’s unexpected…
but because it’s where God begins.
When Scripture becomes the starting point…
confidence naturally follows.
Here’s what I hope you’re beginning to see.
This isn’t really about a calendar.
It’s about the character of God.
From the opening pages of Scripture…
He reveals Himself as a God of order.
A God of purpose.
A God who keeps appointments.
A God who tells the story from beginning to end.
And once you begin reading the Bible through that lens…
you stop seeing isolated events.
You begin seeing one beautiful, unified story…
written by one faithful Author.
Imagine walking into a magnificent cathedral and only looking at one stained-glass window.
You’d certainly see something beautiful.
But you wouldn’t understand the whole story.
Then someone quietly invites you to step back.
Suddenly, every window connects.
Every color belongs.
Every scene points to the same masterpiece.
That’s what Genesis does for God’s calendar.
Instead of beginning in the middle of the story, God invites us back to the beginning—where His design, His timing, and His redemptive plan first come into view.

So if God established His rhythm from the very beginning…
one question remains:
How did we drift so far from it?
Let’s discover how God’s original rhythm was gradually replaced by our own—and why recovering it can change the way we walk with Him today.

STORY OF AWAKENING
Can I tell YOU about someone?
Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled among rolling hills and murmuring streams, there lived a young man named Eli. At the age of 30, he was a carpenter, known for the meticulous care he took in crafting furniture—not merely as pieces of wood cobbled together, but as stories of families that would use them. With a warm smile and hands roughened by his trade, he wore a simple leather bracelet, inscribed with the word “Veritas”—truth.
But beneath the composed exterior, Eli wrestled with a relentless dragon—a yearning for something more profound, a truth that seemed just beyond his grasp, keeping him awake as the moon climbed the night sky. He sought solace in tradition and the legacy left by his forebears, yet the dragon of unrest breathed its fire still.
One day, as the sun began its descent, painting the sky with hues of amber and gold, Eli encountered an old man by the river, a man known for his wisdom and serene countenance. The old man was gently immersing people in the river, one by one, speaking of new life, of rebirth in water and Spirit. Eli watched, intrigued as each face emerged from the river alight with an ineffable joy.
In that moment, Eli’s heartbeat quickened, a silent explosion of clarity that shattered the stillness of his long-held doubts. As the old man extended an invitation to the water, Eli realized the solution lay not in battling for truth, but in surrendering to it, allowing the waters to cleanse and renew.
Stepping into the river, Eli felt the cool embrace of the water as the old man whispered, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” As he was submerged, it was as if the river itself was washing away the scales from his eyes. Rising from the water, Eli felt the heavy armor of his uncertainties fall away, replaced by a lightness of being he had never known. The dragon, that once fearsome beast of doubt, had been vanquished not by a sword, but by the gentle power of the flowing river.
This act of baptism, as simple as it was profound, changed Eli. He became a testament to the village, his life a canvas upon which the value of faith was vividly painted. He still crafted furniture, but now he imbued each piece with the story of his transformation, inviting others to find their truth in the river’s timeless flow.
And so, the villagers came to understand that while Eli was still their beloved carpenter, he had become something more—a living testimony to the grace found in the waters of baptism, a symbol of a truth that could be theirs as well.

Maybe today’s Story of Awakening wasn’t actually for YOU.
Maybe…
it was for someone God quietly placed on YOUR heart.
The friend…
who loves Jesus…
but has never realized the Bible tells one connected story.
The Bible study partner…
who has always wondered why God’s calendar even matters.
The believer…
who feels spiritually busy…
but longs for a deeper rhythm with God.
Did someone come to mind?
Because if they did…
maybe this conversation wasn’t only meant to awaken YOU.
Maybe it was meant to awaken them, too.

Sometimes an awakening begins…

than seeing God’s Word…

STEP 4 – How Did We Drift Away from God’s Rhythm?
Can I ask you something?
Have you ever looked up from a busy week and thought,
“Where did the time go?”
You had good intentions.
You wanted to spend time with God.
You wanted to slow down.
You wanted to be more present with your family.
But somehow…
life just kept moving.
Friend, that’s often how spiritual drift happens.
Rarely through one dramatic decision.
Usually through a thousand small distractions.
The Bible has a great deal to say about remembering God’s ways.
Let’s begin with something God told Israel before they ever entered the Promised Land.
Deuteronomy 6:6–9 – “And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in your heart: And you shalt teach them diligently unto your children, and shalt talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shalt bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shalt write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.”
Notice what God is doing.
He isn’t simply giving information.
He’s establishing rhythm.
Morning.
Evening.
Home.
Walking.
Family.
Daily life.
God never intended His truth to be something we visited once a week.
He intended it to shape the rhythm of everyday living.
That’s one reason God’s calendar matters.
It’s not merely about dates.
It’s about remembering.
Remembering who God is.
Remembering what He has done.
Remembering what He has promised.
Throughout Scripture, forgetting often comes before drifting.
Now listen to what the writer of Hebrews says.
Hebrews 2:1 – “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.”
That last phrase is striking.
“…lest at any time we should let them slip.”
The picture is not one of rebellion.
It’s one of drifting.
A boat doesn’t drift because someone points it in the wrong direction.
It drifts because nothing keeps it anchored.
The same thing can happen spiritually.
Not because we stop loving God.
But because the pace of life quietly becomes our master.
Calendars become crowded.
Schedules become full.
Notifications become constant.
Before long, we begin organizing life around everything except the One who gave us life.
Jesus gently addressed this very issue.
Matthew 6:33 – “But seek your first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Notice the word first.
God has always been after more than a place on our calendar.
He desires to shape our calendar.
Not because He needs our time…
but because we need His presence.
That’s the heart behind God’s rhythm.
It’s not about legalism.
It’s about relationship.
Finally, listen to Paul’s encouragement.
Romans 12:2 – “And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
The world has its rhythm.
Always faster.
Always louder.
Always demanding more.
God invites us into something different.
A life shaped by His Word…
His purposes…
His appointed times…
and ultimately, His Son.
Here’s today’s fourth win.
Drift isn’t defeated by trying harder.
It’s corrected by realigning your heart.
Every time you choose God’s priorities over the world’s pace…
you’re taking one step back toward His rhythm.
And that’s exactly why this matters.
God didn’t establish His calendar to burden His people.
He established it to continually bring them back to Himself.
Because every rhythm He gives…
is an invitation to remember the God who never forgets His promises.

Have you ever noticed that no one wakes up one morning and decides,
“Today, I’m going to drift away from God.”
It almost never happens that way.
Drift is usually quiet.
Life gets busy.
Responsibilities increase.
The calendar fills up.
And little by little…
the rhythm that once centered us on God gets replaced by the rhythm of simply keeping up.
Maybe one of these conversations sounds familiar.
THE LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN WAKING UP
Maybe you’ve realized your schedule has become louder than your spiritual life.
You still love God.
You still believe His Word.
But somewhere along the way, your relationship with Him slowly moved to the edges of your day.
Friend…
God isn’t waiting to condemn you.
He’s inviting you back.
Not back to a religious routine…
but back to walking with Him.
THE ENCOURAGER
Maybe you’re constantly pouring into everyone else.
You encourage.
You serve.
You give.
You show up.
But when was the last time you slowed down long enough to simply sit with the Lord?
Sometimes the people doing the most for God quietly forget to spend time with God.
He isn’t asking for more activity.
He’s inviting you back into His presence.
THE SILENT WATCHER
Maybe you’ve been watching these videos for a while.
You’ve never commented.
You’ve never asked a question.
You’ve simply been listening.
If that’s you…
I’m really glad you’re here.
Because sometimes God begins restoring a person’s rhythm long before anyone else notices.
Maybe today is simply your first step back.
And that’s a beautiful place to begin.
That’s why this lesson matters.
God’s calendar isn’t about filling your schedule with more things to do.
It’s about recovering a rhythm that continually turns your heart back toward Him.
Not through pressure.
Not through performance.
But through intentional remembrance.
Think about the tide along the shoreline.
If you place a small boat in the water and never anchor it, it doesn’t race away all at once.
It drifts.
So gradually that you hardly notice it’s moving.
Then you look up…
and you’re far from where you intended to be.
Our spiritual lives can feel the same way.
We don’t usually drift because we stopped loving God.
We drift because the current of everyday life quietly pulls us away from the rhythms that keep us close to Him.
That’s why God established rhythms of remembrance—not because He forgets, but because we do.

Once we rediscover God’s rhythm, one final question remains:
How can living on God’s time actually change my everyday life?
Let’s finish today’s journey by discovering that God’s calendar isn’t simply something to understand…
it’s an invitation to live differently every single day.

STEP 5 – How Can Living on God’s Time Change My Life?
Can I ask you one final question?
What if God’s calendar isn’t primarily about marking special days…
What if it’s about shaping ordinary ones?
Because after everything we’ve discovered today, that’s really where this conversation leads.
Knowing God has a calendar is one thing.
Living according to His rhythm is something else entirely.
And here’s the beautiful news.
God never asks us to rearrange our lives because He needs something from us.
He invites us to realign our lives because He wants something for us.
Let’s begin with the words of Jesus.
Matthew 6:33 – “But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Notice the word first.
Jesus isn’t merely talking about priorities.
He’s talking about order.
When God is first…
everything else begins finding its proper place.
That’s exactly what God’s calendar has always been about.
Not creating religious pressure…
but restoring God’s place at the center of life.
Now listen to the psalmist.
Psalm 90:12 – “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
I love that prayer.
Moses doesn’t ask God for more days.
He asks for wisdom to live the days he’s been given.
Friend, that’s what living on God’s time looks like.
It’s waking up each morning and recognizing that today is not an accident.
Today is a gift.
Today has purpose.
Today belongs to God.
When you begin seeing each day that way, your calendar becomes more than a schedule.
It becomes an opportunity to walk with the Lord.
Paul takes this even further.
Ephesians 5:15–17 – “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
Did you catch that phrase?
“Redeeming the time.”
Paul reminds us that time is one of God’s greatest gifts.
We cannot create more of it.
We can only choose how we will steward it.
That’s why God’s rhythm matters.
It teaches us to slow down enough to notice His presence.
To recognize His leading.
To live intentionally instead of reactively.
Finally, hear the invitation of Jesus.
John 15:4–5 – “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the Vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.”
Living on God’s time isn’t about becoming more efficient.
It’s about becoming more connected.
Jesus doesn’t say,
“Produce more.”
He says,
“Abide.”
Remain.
Stay close.
Walk with Me.
That’s the heartbeat of God’s calendar.
Not simply remembering dates…
but remembering the God who desires daily fellowship with His people.
Here’s today’s fifth win.
Living on God’s time changes your life because it changes your perspective.
You stop measuring your days only by what you accomplished.
You begin measuring them by whether you walked with Christ.
And that’s a completely different way to live.
As we continue through this Realignment journey, you’ll discover that every appointed time in Scripture points beyond itself.
Every rhythm…
every season…
every appointment…
ultimately points to Jesus Christ.
Because God’s calendar has never simply been about marking time.
It has always been about preparing hearts.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing together—
one faithful step at a time…
on a Pathway to Readiness.

Can I leave you with one final thought?
I’ve noticed that people who live with the greatest peace aren’t necessarily the ones with the easiest schedules.
They’re the ones who’ve learned whose schedule matters most.
Life will always be busy.
Responsibilities don’t disappear.
The phone still rings.
The emails still arrive.
The calendar still fills up.
But somewhere in the middle of ordinary life…
God quietly invites us to walk at His pace instead of being driven by ours.
Maybe one of these conversations sounds familiar.
THE ENCOURAGER
Maybe you’re constantly caring for other people.
You’re the one who remembers birthdays…
checks on friends…
volunteers…
encourages…
serves.
But somewhere along the way you’ve forgotten that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Friend…
God never asked you to carry His work without first enjoying His presence.
Living on God’s time means learning that being with Him comes before working for Him.
THE QUESTIONER
Maybe you’re someone who likes having a plan.
You enjoy organizing.
Preparing.
Thinking ahead.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
In fact, planning can be an act of good stewardship.
The question isn’t whether you make plans.
The question is whether your plans remain surrendered to God.
There’s a beautiful difference between asking God to bless your schedule…
and asking Him to shape it.
THE ISOLATED REMNANT BELIEVER
Maybe you’ve been trying to follow Christ quietly for a long time.
Sometimes it feels like you’re walking against the current of the culture around you.
Can I encourage you?
Every step of obedience matters.
Every morning you choose to begin with God instead of the noise of the world…
you’re training your heart to recognize His voice above every other voice.
That’s how spiritual readiness is built.
One faithful morning…
one surrendered afternoon…
one obedient evening at a time.
Here’s the picture I’d love for you to remember.
Think of a compass.
A compass doesn’t remove mountains.
It doesn’t shorten the journey.
It doesn’t eliminate storms.
It simply keeps pointing true north.
God’s rhythm does the same thing.
It doesn’t promise a life without interruptions.
It continually realigns your heart with the One who never changes.
Today’s Step
Tomorrow morning, before you check your phone…
before you open your email…
before you look at your calendar…
simply pause.
Open God’s Word.
Pray,
“Father, help me walk in Your rhythm today.”
Because the goal isn’t to fit God into your schedule.
It’s to let God shape the way you live every day.

it’s time for Today’s Toolkit.
I’d like to leave you with one simple habit that can begin changing the way you experience every day.
I call it The 60-Second Calendar Reset.
Not because one minute changes your schedule…
But because one minute can change who’s leading it.
Before you check your phone…
Before you open your email…
Before you look at your calendar…
Pause.
Take one slow breath and simply acknowledge that this day already belongs to God.
Then pray this simple prayer:
“Father, thank You for the gift of today. Before I begin following my schedule, help me recognize what You’re doing. Open my eyes to Your appointments, redirect my plans if necessary, and teach me to walk in Your timing instead of my own. May everything I do today bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
That’s it.
Sixty seconds.
Friend, don’t underestimate what God can do through one minute of surrender.
Over time, you’ll begin noticing something beautiful.
You’ll become less frustrated by interruptions…
because you’ll begin asking,
“Lord, is this interruption actually one of Your appointments?”
You’ll become less anxious about unfinished plans…
because you’ll remember that God’s purposes aren’t measured by your productivity.
And little by little, your calendar will stop feeling like something you have to control…
and start becoming something you place into the Father’s hands every morning.
Because living on God’s time doesn’t begin with understanding biblical feasts.
It begins with a surrendered heart.
One morning.
One prayer.
One faithful step at a time.
And that’s how God begins realigning an entire life.

Remember this…
God has a calendar, and His timing is never random – it always reveals His perfect purpose.

“Why does God have a calendar?”
And together, we’ve uncovered something much bigger than dates on a page.
We’ve discovered that God isn’t random.
He’s intentional.
His timing isn’t unpredictable…
it’s purposeful.
His calendar didn’t begin with Moses.
It began with the Creator, who established His rhythm from the very beginning of Creation. We’ve seen how easy it is to drift toward the world’s pace without even realizing it. And finally, we’ve discovered that living on God’s time isn’t about adding more religious activities to our lives…
it’s about walking more closely with the God who is already directing history.
Friend, I hope one thought stays with you this week.
God isn’t asking you to organize your life around a calendar.
He’s inviting you to organize your life around Him.
When you begin seeing time through God’s eyes…
ordinary days become opportunities.
Interruptions become appointments.
Waiting becomes preparation.
And every sunrise becomes another reminder that the Author of history is faithfully writing your story too.
That’s where realignment begins.
Not with a date…
but with a relationship.
One day…
one decision…
one faithful step at a time.
