Welcome to The Story Behind the Story.
Every ministry has stories that never make it into the teaching. The conversations after the camera stops rolling. The unexpected detours. The prayers no one else heard. The moments when God quietly changed everything. That’s what this space is for.
It’s where I invite you behind the ministry – not to spotlight us, but to celebrate God’s faithfulness in building something neither Eric nor I could have built on our own.
So grab a cup of coffee.
Pull up a chair.
Today, I want to tell you the story behind something people ask without even realizing they’re asking.
Why now?
Why did Guardians of biblical Truth launch in 2026… instead of ten years ago?
Or twenty?
Looking back, I don’t think we were waiting.
I think God was preparing us.
The Beginning
This story actually began when I was ten years old.
That’s when the Lord spoke to my heart and told me I would rewrite the Bible so people could understand it. At ten years old, I had no idea what that meant. I simply said yes.
Life continued.
I began writing books in 1996.
Then, in 2002, God brought Eric into my life. At the time, I thought He was simply giving me a husband. Now I realize He was giving me a ministry partner.
For the next twenty-two years, while I kept writing, Eric kept building. We built websites. Started blogs. Published books. Learned new software. He became skilled in graphics, the Adobe suite, and technology. I became a better writer and publisher. Neither of us knew where all those years of learning were leading.
The Turning Point
In 2018, God moved us from California to Idaho.
Looking back, that move wasn’t just about geography. It was preparation.
For years we depended on outside artists, book printers, designers, and production tams. Wonderful people. But every project depended on someone else’s schedule. Every delay slowed the assignment.
Then something changed. Almost overnight, new creative tools began appearing. AI didn’t replace the assignment. It accelerated our ability to fulfill it. Suddenly the writing… the graphics… the filmmaking… the publishing… could happen under one roof.
For the first time, Eric and I could steward almost every part of the ministry ourselves. And then I understood. God hadn’t been delaying the assignment. He had been preparing both the workers… and the tools.

What We Learned
Looking back, I see God’s fingerprints everywhere. He didn’t just prepare me. He prepared Eric. He didn’t just prepare our gifts. He prepared technology. He didn’t just give us an assignment. He provided everything we would need to carry it out.
For years I wondered why the vision seemed bigger than our ability. Now I know. It wasn’t time yet. God’s timing is never late. Sometimes He’s preparing people. Sometimes He’s preparing circumstances. And sometimes He’s preparing tools that haven’t even been invented yet.

Where We Are Now
When Guardians of biblical truth launched in 2026, it may have looked like everything happened quickly. It didn’t It was the fruit of decades of quiet preparation. A promise given to a ten-year-old girl. Years spent writing. A husband being equipped without realizing why. A move directed by God. New tools arriving at exactly the right time.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the waiting. Because now I understand. God wasn’t asking us to hurry. He was asking us to trust Him until everything He had prepared came together. Exactly when He intended.

One “Yes” at a Time.
Reflecting back, every step of this ministry reminds me that God rarely shows us the whole journey.
He simply asks us to trust Him with the next step.
That’s how this ministry has been built.
One “yes” at a time.
Until next time…
Thank you for letting Eric and me share this journey with you.
